Owner description: The Campuhan Ridge Walk is arguably the best known Ubud trek and with good reason. The sparse crowds and the aesthetically rich vistas remind one of why people from around the world come to Bali. The trail starts at the historical origin of Ubud, the confluence (or Campuhan) of the Wos Rivers.

“beautiful views of rice paddies”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 March 2014

nice, quick walk through the rice paddies. only took me about 60-90minutes to do the walk, then I turned around at Kafe Kaska and walked back. wasn't too difficult either. would recommend it to anybody who is in ubud for a short time and wants to see the rice paddies.

“A nice early morning walk - 45 minutes”

In the hills close to Ubud centre, a walking track which is not too challenging, unless you plan to follow the track at the middle of the day. Beautiful views!

“Escape the traffic, noise and central Ubud!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 March 2014

This is a must for anybody visiting Ubud, especially if your stay is short and are predominately staying in the city. We had a great day and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery grabbing some great pictures. The Karsa cafe is a great place, well worth the effort.

I would not of known about this place if it weren't for tripadvisor, but still had to do my research to find it! To return the favour here are some directions which I hope will help out:

Start at the market / palace intersection
Head west along Jalan Raya (you'll pass Starbucks almost immediately)
Keep walking until the shops on both sides end and there is an overhead 'bridge'
Stay on this road and head straight down a small hill with greenery on both sides
At the bottom of the hill the road will hang left, keep following it
You will see a sign for the Ibah hotel on you right hand side
This is where the trail starts and is signposted!

Hope this helps as it took me ages to find!

“Nice way to leave the hustle & bustle”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 March 2014 via mobile

We enjoyed this nice walk. The start is fairly easy to find and after a few steep sections at the start, the path is fairly easy. Some shops up near the top for drinks. Other walks nearby are equally good.

“Not amazed, but nice”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 March 2014

I did this walk in the rain, so maybe I didn't appreciate it as much, but I wasn't blown away. Yes it's a nice walk, but it wasn't that inspiring. Good views across two valleys on either side. I actually prefer to just walk through the rice paddies. I would recommend maybe getting a taxi to Karsa and then walking back. Maybe nice at sunset?
