Owner description: The Campuhan Ridge Walk is arguably the best known Ubud trek and with good reason. The sparse crowds and the aesthetically rich vistas remind one of why people from around the world come to Bali. The trail starts at the historical origin of Ubud, the confluence (or Campuhan) of the Wos Rivers.

It was hot and we were dripping in sweat when we made it to the top at Karsa Spa, a lovely walk. I was very happy to be following friends who knew the way, but if not we had downloaded directions from the following helpful blog post with photos http://www.liveloveraw.com/campuhan-ridge-hike-ubud-bali/.
Take your camera and plenty of sunscreen, easy walking in terms of being on a track, but the uphill climb gets your heart beating and your smile beaming!

“Nice scenic walk”
Reviewed 3 May 2014

Start almost from centre of Ubud the first part which is actually on the ridge between two river valleys is the nicest - till you get to a restaurant overlooking some very nice rice fields. Here you can turn around or go ahead and do a circle which takes you through different streets.

Super walk just the right distance to a really nice restaurant for breakfast in small thatched 'pods' with super views over the rice fields. Nice artists' studios with good quality Balinese work for sale at good prices

“Not bad but has become more touristy”
Reviewed 1 May 2014

We id this walk years ago and it was like walking on a bush track. Now lots of little shops have sprung up and more houses built out along the track. Some of the little galleries have nice art work though and we particularly liked the one at the intersection
( Romis) on the road where you turn left to go back into town. We bought a painting there, you have to ring the owner , the number is on a table at the back of the room. Its a bit of a walk back from here on the road and yes can be hot if you leave it too late.

“Go early”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

I left at 6.30am in the cool of the morning and loved the walk. As long as you can locate the Ibah Hotel you will be able to follow the signposts all the way. It is a lovely walk away from the hustle and bustle and the reward of relaxing at the Karsa Cafe makes it worthwhile.
