oh we arrived to hotel in the afternoon. First of all their pool is not big as seem on their photos. And second the room that they give us was.really living in humidity. WE dont have high standrts but really itwas not that good for the money that we give in that area. WE planned 3 days but left in 1 day. and they charged 1 more day also. thestaff was good though.

we spent around 3 nights in april 2013 here.. beautiful property with large green spaces.. the staff here are very pleasant and once u get used to some minor hitches like lizards everywhere and insects, this place begins to grow on you.. Very Balinese. AVoid if you have a problem with lizards and insects , since that is part of the package when you choose Taman harum's nature centric experience. But its a beautiful concept where you get transported to a different world. Food was lovely and their antique collection is superb..

We stayed at Taman Harum early June 2013. We had five in our party including our 3 year old Grandson. The staff were very obliging to set up an extra single bed. Taman Harum is excellent accomodation, very modern, our unit was very new. Upstairs and downstairs 2BRoom. The onsuite and bathroom were semi outside, &beautifull. The staff were great, and organised trips for us to the Zoo, and the Monkey Forest, also the Elephant Park. Our included breakfast was very good. We had our evening meals in the restraunt, a great menu to choose from, and the food freshly cooked. As Taman Harum is a bit out of Ubud, they have a free shuttle into town. The swimming pool is large, and very popular. We would certainly stay at Taman Harum again, and recommend!!!!! Also travelling with a small child, the staff were just great with him.

Room Tip: We stayed in Unit 2. Units 1 to 5 are all very new and I would request one of these units.

We spent around 3 nights in this wonderful place and we were really happy once we saw it! We had such a bad day once we landed in the airport and the dusty roads to Ubud from Denpasar only made us more aggravated. At first, We were a little disappointed when we saw the outside of the hotel; it doesn't look much, but don't judge the hotel because of it's entrance like we did! Inside, you'll be greeted by lush trees and plants, wonderfully crafted (though some are scary- looking) wooden statues, soothing Gamelan music and a wonderful staff that would serve you the most delicious tasting welcome drink. We were treated like old friends as opposed to guests and nothing was toio much trouble. The owner Hari and the manager Tri are two of the most lovely prople you could meet and if you ask Hari may even show you his collection of Harley Davidson motorbikes. High recommend

Taman Harum was the most beautiful happy place to stay, we are so thrilled that we found this place, it exceeded our expectations.
We wanted a 'real' experience of Bali, we didn't want to be too much in the action so we really loved the fact that Taman Harum is about 10 mins from Ubud. But it was so great that at anytime we could ask for the free shuttle & they would take us straight into Ubud.
We stayed in the 2 story villa & it was fantastic, clean & we loved the open bathrooms. You just need to keep the door shut to the rest of the villa to keep the bugs out at night, but it was not a problem for us. And it was really handy having the DVD player.
The grounds of Taman Harum were beautiful gardens & a wonderful wood carving gallery. They offer lots of classes, we did the music, dancing & painting classes & loved them! It's great having these things right where you are staying, rather than having to travel for them. We also had a couple of massages there & the massage lady is amazing!
But the main thing for us is the staff, every single one of them are happy & friendly people. Absolutely nothing is too hard for them & they really make you feel very relaxed & comfortable. We ended up sick on the last couple of days & they looked after us & went beyond to help us, even going to the pharmacy for us. We had to stay 2 extra nights due to being sick & they were very accommodating. When we left all the staff came out & said goodbye to us, we felt like we were leaving family!
If you want an authentic experience I highly recommend Taman Harum!
Thank you Tri & your team, we will definitely be back, see you next time!

We stayed in June and were delighted at the tranquility of Tanum Harum, despite being on a road to Ubud- most of the villas are at the back of the property, overlooking rice fields and a tamarind grove.
Whenever we wanted a lift into or from Ubud, the shuttle was prompt and all the drivers helpful and courteus...and thank you Kadek for the EPL updates!
All the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble- the ladies running the restaurant were always cheery, remembered our names and always ready for a chat.
Our villa was lovely- near the pool but not noisy, with a large outdoor lounge, kitchenette, bathroom and our own courtyard overlooking the rice paddies. In JUne it was cool enough to sleep with the bedroomdoors opened onto out courtyard- how lovely to draw our mosquito net and hear the frogs and cicadas from the paddies.
The only suggestion I would make it to review the breakfast: with somuch fresh fruit at amazingly low costs, I recommend a fruit buffet rather than a few slices of each on one's pre-prepared breakfast plate.
We would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Our room was at the rear of the property, overlooking rice paddies- so quiet!

We are travelling with four kids this time and for the Ubud part of our trip we wanted somewhere where the kids could explore Balinese culture and be able to step into and out of the busy tourist scene at will.

Taman Harum is perfect for this. The cottages are quiet and we felt very safe. There is plenty of opportunity to experience Balinese culture through the classes they run and the general environment of Taman Harum.

The staff were great and the villa we had was very nice (it did have stairs though so we needed to take some precautions with our 2 year old). There are some signs that the rooms are aging a bit but we didn't have any problems.

The shuttle to and from Ubud was great and worked well for us.

Of course the kids appreciated the pool too and it is nice for relaxing in.

The one negative was that it was a bit smoky at times when there was burning rubbish etc in the rice paddies nearby which my wife didn't like.

We would stay there again though as it was the good start to our trip we were looking for.
