This is the third time at De Munut and stayed in the new villas at the top. It was so enjoyable and all the staff were excellent as before. The breakfasts are filling and varied. we would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Thanks De Munut.

Room Tip: All the rooms are well fitted out and have a great semi outdoor bathroom.

We stayed in Ubud for five nights and picked this place for location, value, and the gorgeous pictures of the open air bathrooms.

The bathroom lived up to our expectations except that we forgot about the mozzies. If you want to use the beautiful bath don't forget the mozzies coils! The whole hotel was just gorgeous really from the moment we walked in. The staff were lovely and the included breakfast was amazing.

The only reason we wouldn't consider going back is the location. The hotel is up a very steep, curved hill that's not lit at night and has no footpath. We brought a torch after the first night. It's also a bit more out of the way than we thought from mapping it on Google. It looks like they're improving the sidewalks right now, but at the moment the slightly longer walk into the market is made more difficult by the holes in the sidewalk. Then again, you could probably just get a taxi at night considering how cheap and available they are. We didn't have a DVD player which was a little bit disappointing because we'd bought a couple tv shows to catch up on.

A couple of the towels had holes but the room was cleaned well daily. The pool was gorgeous and the whole place felt like a lovely, quiet retreat.

We were two adults staying in a superior room for 5 nights. the hotel is located 10 min walk from ubud town centre with all its restaurants.
Positives
clean spacious rooms
comfortable bed
well kept gardens and pools
enjoyable breakfast
friendly staff
peaceful setting

one of the features of our room was a partly outdoor bathroom. it took us a day to get used to it but after that everything was fine. If you are very afraid of any form of insects this is not suitable for you however if you dont mind the odd and or snail you will have no problems.

We would have no problems recommending the hotel to others

We had a lovely stay recently. The room was lovely and the bathroom huge, with a lovely stone bath. We overlooked one of the pools, with a nice balcony. Breakfast was a little disappointing. We walked into town, and it was about 15 minutes walk, but beware of the hill on the way back!!
Very good value for money.

The hotel is good value for money and it is nice to be away from the hustle of the Main Street. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are cleaned well each day. Beds are a bit too hard and breakfast is not the best -but you get what you pay for. It's possible to walk into town (15mins) but the hill up to the hotel is quite dangerous as no footpath. The second pool was green when we arrived but is now fine. I had a 60min Balinese massage here and it was great.

Nice villas farther west from the centre of Ubud. Very nice designed, green and leafy.
Room I stayed in was spacey enough with external bath and some basic furniture (please do the dust).
There are to swimming pools in the complex.
Breakfast was ok but very basic.
The only problem is the way from the hotel to different premises. If you wanna walk watch the road. There is no pedestrian paths and drivers are a lil crazy. If you're coming back from the city be prepared to climb on (can be a hurdle for elderly people)

Stayed in the back section meeting up with friends , Very quiet with that Balinese feel to it relaxing by the pool away from the hustle and bustle was excellent, rooms were good and the Breakfast ok , We stayed at 3 different locations in Bali and this was perhaps the best value for money , A short Walk to town and a cheap taxi back to a peaceful surroundings . Would definitely recommend. Felt like you were in the country without hoards of people around.
