An elegant and tranquil place to stay, The Tjampuhan Spa Hotel in Ubud is old-style elegance and charm - like stepping back in time. Set in the heart of Ubud, it offers a haven from the hustle and bustle. Staff are kind and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. Cool, comfortable rooms, and with an elegant dining room, I recommend this hotel.

I stay here on Silent day in Bali for 3 days 2 night. The right place to looking for peace of soul and mind. Without TV and WiFi in the room, your holiday will not be distracted by technology. Back to nature with natural atmosphere, green and as the life of a village in Bali. Friendly services by Balinese staff and great hospitality! Natural bathroom, natural room colors and Balinese food so tasty! Mostly guest are old foreign. Don't forget to try spa treatment, feel relax in amazing venue! Come here and you will feel the peace that still exist in the world!

My experience at the Hotel Tjampuhan & Spa was limited to two days one night and on a whole it was ok. The pros of staying here included the gardens and swimming pools, friendly staff, its location as it is walking distance to the centre of Ubud. However, with pros come cons! The room we stayed in was damp and smelt, I was happy to move to our next hotel when it came to checkout. The food was nothing to get excited about; I say this as the other two places we stayed had fantastic food. We ended up getting a second breakfast elsewhere as we didn’t really want to eat here. We had a few too many run-ins with the local bugs and animals in our room, however this did add some excitement too our stay at Hotel Tjampuhan & Spa.

We stayed here for 4 nights recently. We had previously stayed in this hotel once before and only returned for the tranquil setting and the Spa.
This hotel is set right in the side of a cliff and the garden is amazing . The Spa treatment area is really nice and being able to be get a massage 10 meters from a rushing river is the main reason for our return here.
The rooms are old but still nice with no TV which was totally cool with us as ubud for us is a place to chill . No wifi in your rooms is a little annoying and behind the times. The hotels pricing of drinks and stuff is also a little high and I felt a little taken advantage of .Also manager was a nice guy just a little pushy on there up sell of things which were all overpriced . For example scooter hire price dropped by 30% when i walked passed the same hire place and made no mention of the hotel.
All in all this hotel is very pretty with a great spa treatment area with friendly staff and a beautiful garden , great to just chill in .

This is an awful place to stay and was almost unbearable. The rooms are old and run down, no TV's at all, no air conditioning, wildlife in the toilets, and there was construction going on outside our room every day. The buffet breakfast is extremely unhygenic... food left out with flies on it, and I actually got very bad food poisoning after my first day at this hotel. Really disappointed.

Room Tip: best to just not stay here

This hotel was a very nice place to stay. It is quite a traditional place located in lush green and has a river and waterfall. Ubud fab place to stay to get away from it all. The staff didnt speak alot of english but most were friendly. There are alot of uneven stairs to get around so not good for elderly, bad knees etc. wifi only in reception area. Rooms very clean. Food ok not much choice. Pools nice not heated. Spa treatments ok but beautiful surroundings! not far to markets and cafes. We enjoyed our stay here.
