“Great informal atmosphere and food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014 via mobile

Based on good reviews on TA and confirmation from our hotel (Uma by COMO) we decided to dine here and we were not disappointed!

The two of us went along at around 7pm without a reservation and luckily were about to get a seat on the counter looking onto the road.

The tuna tartar was as good as others have said and I had the Mie Goreng which was well made and great portion size. The Red curry is also very good.

Knowing that the profits go towards providing the community with medical care also gives you a feel-good factor about dining here.

The service was cheery and prompt, comments about taking a long time to get your food I imagine is a case of hitting busy times/possible order mix up and would say that might be the (unfortunate) exception as I could see people around us getting their food promptly after ordering too. We had a shared starter, a main and shared a dessert and were out of the restaurant in just over an hour.

Price is very reasonable so overall would highly recommend a visit to this warung whilst in Ubud

“Nice little restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014

The staff were friendly and the food nice except that chicken on a chicken dish was too tough and dry. The place is quite small but has nice rustic ambience. We sat on the floor to eat at one end of restaurant and the changing view of the narrow street below was very interesting. There was a lot of young kids learning stuff in the small kitchen and as the whole thing is for a worthy cause it felt good to be eating there.

Me and my husband went there for dinner. The food was very good and the owner coming and talking to us was also very nice. Its better to stay outside, very charming! The price is quite fair.

“Awesome food - great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2014 via mobile

Although there was no table for us as we did not have a reservation they placed us at the side. The staff were very attentive and the owner personally greeted every guest. The food was perfect and the fair aspect of the restaurant makes it a great place to be.

“Great atmosphere, food and service!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2014

We read the reviews on TA and had to try out Fair Warung Bale. The service was excellent and everyone in our large group of 7 liked their food, including the kids. We also liked their rock wall where you can add your own "art rock" but, of course, the best part of the restaurant is that the proceeds go toward a very important cause. Go for the food and then go back again!
