We've been there May-2013 and fell in love with the place. It was probably the best experience we had in Bali. This boutique hotel is located in a very peaceful village outside of Ubud (which means you have to take a cheap taxi to get to actual Ubud). Rooms are clean, reasonably priced and offering view over green rice fields and a small pond arranged by hotel owners. They are spacious and equiped with all basic amenities including safe, flat screen TV, bathroom and air conditioning . The breakfast is basic and consists mainly of variety of fresh fruit, some bread, butter, marmalade, fresh juice and coffee however we found that to be delicious and absolutely sufficient. Hotel is also offering lunches and dinners but since this is a family place you do not have a standard carte. Just ask the staff to arrange the meal for you and tell them what you like to eat. The staff is very helfpul and friendly. They have invited us to a party celebrating the engagement of one of their friends. If Ubud is on your travel map, definitely consider this place.

We stayed in Omah Apik with 2 little kids for 4 days. The first morning we explored the rice fields just behind the property. The kids had a great experience watching some farmers herding groups of ducks. Unfortunately, when we arrived it was just the end of the harvest period, so the fields were not as green as we had expected. Subak, the irrigation system, had been under repair, hence the dry pond.
The room was quite standard with semi-outdoor shower. No mosquitoes.
Breakfast was just about enough - not too much, not too little. Everyday they served a different choice of breakfast. If you expect a buffet, mind yourself. It's B&B afterall!
The pool was nice overlooking the rice fields, in the southern part of the property, where a new section with five bedrooms (in addition to the existing six) had just opened.
I was personally awed by the meticulous landscape of the property. It was well designed and executed. We soon found out that the owner was actually an Indonesian architect. No wonder.
Last but not least, the staff members would easily make you feel like home. They would greet you with smile.

Just don't the the price quality is up to par. For around € 50 per night you can expect a little more.

Breakfast is very very basic: a pancake or plate of noodles. On our second day they didn't even have juice... (!!); Wifi is patchy and dodgy; Water worked on and off during our stay.

We also booked the hotel because of the beauty of the pond and rice fields. When we came there was no water in the pond and the rice fields were golden opposed to green. Double the bad luck :-/

And last but not least.... At check out they asked us to pay the booking.com commission of 10% of the room fee.

Only plus was the friendliness of the staff. All in all very disappointed with our stay and not recommended.

We spent 4 nights at this lovely place. It’s a real escapism. Very peaceful, quiet and far from city life.

PRO
Very friendly and helpful staff. Thanks to Mr Putu and team.
Self service of tea and coffee anytime.
No Mosquitoes.
The Staff will help you to buy local food nearby if you want some variation such as Babi Guling at the front of Pura Penataran Sasih.
Beautiful Scenery with paddy field, cows, ducks and birds

CON
Breakfast is standard. You can’t expect more than that.
Water pump is slightly problem. You need to wait at least 15 second to get the water drop heavier.

TIPS
You need to prepare yourself with food stock if you want to stay longer.
If you need a massage, the staff will help you to get a freelance therapist and we got a good one. Thanks to Bu Made.

Room Tip: You can go to Ubud with Taxi or rental car with only Rp.60.000,- in 20 minutes.
