We choose this restaurant by default as it was raining and the nearest shelter, which was unfortunate mistake.
We chose the mahi filet and the red snapper filet. Both we very overcooked, dry and tough. At least we had shelter from the rain.

“A bit too commercialised for my taste”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 January 2014

Of course I should have expected it seeing that it is located on the main street of Jalan Raya Ubud. But I was attracted by the 2-man band playing some oldies but goodies and there just happened to be parking two steps away! Nice view right at the back (if you like ravines filled with lush foliage), wide variety in the menu (takes a while to digest and decide what you really fancy), a bit pricey with somewhat ungenerous portions, tastes blah (maybe good for foreigners not used to full-bodied Indonesian tasting food). Staff were friendly enough but not personable like other less commercialised places. The 2 guys from the band were very personable and friendly though....musicians...you gotta love them! Oh, and the cappuccino was quite good :)

“Service is fast. Food is so-so.”

snapper fish fillet was not fresh. Nasi goreng and grilled squid was nice. Layout of food was also not bad with live band performing at night.

We stopped off for lunch and had a snapper fillet and a mixed satay plate. Both meals were full of flavor and served quickly. The staff are friendly and happy yo please.

“Nice food, good service”

The food is ok but for my Indonesian tastebud it could be improved. Perhaps it is more suitable for Westerners
