“Great shop! Location on tripadvisor is incorrect”

Lovely shop with beautiful textiles! The designs are unique and beautiful, with many color options. I got two table runners, a scarf, and a number of pillow covers. The family that runs the shop are promoting the traditional artisans around Bali, and they are happy to explain the designs/process.

The location on tripadvisor is incorrect! It's towards the very bottom of Monkey Forest Road (closest to the Monkey Forest). If you are facing the Monkey Forest, it is left side of the street.

It's almost like a secret pathway to the hidden gem of Ubud. Beautiful collection, beautiful people.

Have to agree with all the thorough and positive reviews submitted so far I hardly need to add much to whats already been said. Its funny how you get so much hassle when you're looking at tat in other places but when you go into a quality establishment they let you browse in peace and only step in to offer information not a sales pitch. Threads of life also has quality merchandise but unfortunately out of my budget on this trip.ikat batik seems to have a wider selection that covers more of a price range. On the practical side the tripadvisor map is incorrect. Basically go down monkey forest rd towards the temple the road gets quite steep near the end and just as it starts to flatten out ikat batik is there on the left.

As a long time ikat lover, I was looking for something special in Ubud. Reviews of Ikat Batik led us to this wonderful gallery and shop in Monkey Forest Road. Traditional yet contemporary, the fabrics and designs are inspiring. I would make a special trip to Ubud just to go to Ikat Batik!

I totally agree with other viewers would like to take 80% of the batik back home to decor my home. Every is an art piece with story for the pattern and the traditional and handmade technique to dye. The owner spent time telling me how batik is made, the technique behind on different fabrics. He is just do professional and passionate about thud traditional craftsmanship. I bought a scarf, a batik with lotus pattern and a cushion cover. There is a few percentage spent was donated to the foundation to support this traditional Balinese art. There is one with sun I love most, but too big for the house, I can just share the picture for the lucky one.
