For a bargain deal, you can't expect much from this hotel. Basic room with bathroom (cold water only) one towel was given even we were two persons staying, a toilet paper and no other amenities such soap, shampoo, etc.

There's no TV in the room, and you have to ask for a remote control for your in room AC, they do not set up the remote in the room.

The wooden bed was noisy everytime you move around, it brings terrible sound. We like staying here due to close to main Ubud attractions and nearby Monkey forest just right on the corner. They can't accept credit card, only cash payment for the room. I don't even have room number in my room, so I can't remember what room i was staying in.

Room Tip: Choose the room facing to the pool with brighter look

Loved this place. The owner stopped us as we were getting off the mini bus into town and offered us accomodation so we had no idea what to expect when we showed up. We instantly fell in love with the rooftop garden and swimming pool. Such a nice place to wake up and have breakfast, which wasn't all that bad. We had an air con room with a giant bed, which was clean and had everything we needed (towels, etc) The staff was friendly and very accomodating. We rented mopeds from them and they set us up for a cooking class at bali cafe. Also itsright across the road from monkey forest so there are always monkeys jumping and playing around on the rooftops and power cables, quite entertaining. It was a good location and we didn't pay anymore than we would have anywhere else. I'd reccommend this placde to anyone.

We arrived in Ubud without anywhere to stay, we had the usual hassle from hotel owners etc you get where you arrive anywhere in asia and decided to take a look at the least, the owner took us by moped to his rooftop garden hotel right beside monkey forest, the room was fantastic, air con was v. good, bed was huge and comfy, very clean and nice bathroom too. V reasonable price too 250,000 rupiahs per night. Ended up staying two nights extra. Breakfast included which was changed each morning was exceptional.

I spent a few nights here in 2011. It was brand new. . The rooms are big, but deficiently equipped. Basic things were missing: towels, clothes pegs. The furniture is nice and new. TV, fridge, balcony, drier.
There was no room cleaning while we stayed there.
Breakfast is very basic. Toast, fruits, not really enjoyable coffee or tea.
You should not leave stuff out in the balcony because monkeys will come to steal it.
The staff is absolutely unskilled.
+ :very good location, near Monkey Forest, low price, new equipment, nice swimming pool and garden
- :The staff is .absolutely unskilled , bad service, expensive airport transfer, in the city it's much cheaper
I don't recommend it, you can find much better places in Ubud.

Stayed at this hotel 5 nights. It is a mix bag of rooms. They have basic cheaper rooms with fan and with shubby bathrooms, also they have really nice rooms with fan or A/C, clean and hot water bathrooms but you pay a little bit more. Also swimming pool is a bonus. It is věry close to Monkey Forest so the monkeys come to the garden in the morning and evening. It is quite fun ať first but you have to be careful and close your bedroom door otherwise they can grab whatever they see:) Breakfast is included, very basic, tea or coffee, fruit salad, omelett or pancake or jaffa but they rotate it every day. Overall it definitely needs improving Its service otherwise friendly staff. Would I stay again? Not sure!

I got an AC room, which was a bit more expensive, but totally worth it as it was very clean and comfortable. I suggest you skip the breakfast and eat elsewhere, unless your budget is very tight, because it's not very good. There's a nice swimming pool and gardens, and the location is great. Right on Monkey Forest Road, I was woken up by the monkeys jumping on the rooftops every morning. You can't get that in many places.

Room Tip: Ask to see an AC rooms and a fan room before you make a decision.

The owner of the hotel offered us the accommodation after we got off the bus from Kuta. In comparison to other hotels/hostels/bungalows, that we have visited in Indonesia, the negotiations concerning the price were very hard there. Finally, we stayed there, but in quite dark and very wet room in ground floor. The humidity in the room was a big problem, since we stayed there three nights and all our stuff was very damp:-(

The location is perfect if you want to visit the Monkey Forest (2 minutes in walking distance). However, the location is quite far from the city centre; better restaurants and all other necessities are quite far (every evening we had to go up the hill to the city center).

I would recommend the accommodation for those who are looking a simple accommodation just for quick overnight stay; for those looking accommodation for longer time, try to find something closer the centre.

Finally, try to rent a motorbike in another place, the offered places made no sense to us and, again, little bit untypically, the owners were not opened for any negotiations.
