“Beautiful, relaxing and lovely hospitality!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 November 2013

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved every minute! The service and hospitality from the staff was warm and welcoming. Very helpful, offering assistance and tours-without being intrusive or forceful. Everything is sparkling new, the rooms, pools and gardens were gorgeous. Our room was spacious, big comfy, clean bed. Spacious modern bathroom. Stunning views across the pool area and out to lush green rice paddies. We had our own day bed and outdoor setting on the porch. TV and DVD player and air con all brand new. Breakfast was included-simple options but we were so happy with everything about the place the breakfast was just a bonus really. We enjoyed strolling up the cobbled pathway to the restaurants and shops-about 10 mins. Also just under 5 mins walk on a rocky path you are right in the thick of monkey forest rd. We certainly preferred the peace and quiet of Inata Bisma's location, rather than to have all the hustle and bustle of monkey forest right at your door! The pool and sun beds are lovely-you will feel like you are on a luxurious holiday here. Thank you so much for having us stay, we would definitely stay with you again on our next holiday to Bali! We wish we could have stayed for a couple of weeks here!

Not easy to find at first, but well worth it when you get there. I had an upstairs room with a wonderful view of the rice paddies, and the mountains in the distance.Breakfast was average, but adequate. At night when walking to town for dinner, take a flashlight.

Besides reasonable pricing, this hotel is in a good location in Ubud if you're looking for a relaxing vacation with minor adventures like brisk walking on street & market & scouting for good food around (as I always make a point not to have meal via room service). The indisputably delicious crispy duck (Bebek Sawah) & suckling pig (Ibu Okra) is walking distance from here, though the latter one is way overrated. Overall, it's good service from the hotel team, especially the manager (Tibya - if I remember his name correctly) though there are still room for improvement and the free shuttle service to nearby areas is definitely a plus point.

Room Tip: Get a room on ground floor that gives you direct pool view

Newly build hotel with splendid view of rice paddies. Location: at the end of the Bisma Road is a good 15 - 20 min walk from the top of Bisma Road. You cannot cut through and the other end which leads out to the Monkey forest is a very bumby dirt track. So transport is a little challenging. Upside is that it is very quiet. Hotel has a shuttle that will pick you up and transport you to anywhere in Udbud. Works well, just call 20 min in advance.

Staff is super friendly and helpful but very young and seemingly inexperienced.

Breakfast is lousy. Mix of Indonesian and continental. Both bad. Ok coffee.

2 20m pools 1 with view of rice paddies, but the infinity feeling is spoiled by a small very ill placed wall. Therefore only average rating on pool.

Room Tip: Hotel has 2 floors. New West facing wing 1st floor does not have balconies, but has the most unspoil...

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2013

I booked this hotel via Agoda for a couple of nights. It's right at the very bottom of Jl Bisma on the right hand side, just before the cobbled road crumbles away to mud, and access is down a short narrow access road next to a villa. There is a small car port for 2 or 3 cars, and reception is a small open air pavillion, with a staff member and a laptop. The receptionist Nuri was very friendly and explained about breakfast, the shuttle service etc, before escorting us to our room.
The hotel consists of a series of two storey blocks, the first couple of blocks obviously the original hotel overlooking a small pool and restaurant area. Next to this and up some stairs are a couple of brand new blocks with another pool.
We had a ground floor pool-view room in one of the new blocks, and the room was excellent for the price we paid, although it had only been opened a couple of weeks. The room was large and airy with a marble tiled floor, with a king size bed, fridge/mini-bar, flat screen TV with lots of channels, DVD player and a couple of DVDs. Through a door into the bathroom area was a wardrobe and safe, separate toilet, sink, bath and rainfall shower. A window separated the bathroom and bedroom, with a blind for privacy. The bed was on the firm side but okay. Sleep quality wasn't the best if I'm honest, mainly down to a constant drip-drip from somewhere inside the air-con unit, so it was a little like water torture. Other than that, it was a great room. There was a terrace outside with table/chairs and a bench seat, this overlooked the pool, then beyond that were rice fields.
Around the pools were plenty of sunbeds, with towels provided. If there weren't any towels, these could be requested from reception and delivered by hotel staff to your sunbed. Only the pool near the older blocks seemed to get the sun.
For breakfast, the night before you had to obtain a breakfast slip from reception, tick what you wanted and what time, then hand it back in. Didn't experience any delays in getting breakfast, and it was okay. Wi-fi is available around the restaurant area.
Location-wise, if you leave the hotel, turn right then head down the road, it soon crumbles into a dirt track. Follow the track and 5 mins later you're at the bottom of Monkey Forest Road just next to Kopi Bali House. Watch out for the mopeds who use this track, and bear in mind it's unlit so I personally wouldn't head down it after sunset, even with a torch. Walking up Bisma to Jl Raya, it's a good 20 min walk. There are a couple of spas, and a few restaurants. The nearest laundry is the Apel Laundry which is about a 15 min walk away. We used the hotel to get our clothes laundered and it was quite cheap.
If getting a car to the hotel, bear in mind there are two Inata hotels, this one and one on Monkey Forest Road, so make it clear it's the one on Jl Bisma.
Overall, it was a nice little hotel in a nice quiet location.

Don't be put off by the bumpy track that leads you to this gorgeous, new, small boutique hotel situated on Bisma road at the rear of the monkey forest. The location is quiet and the views are spectacular. It is but a 5 min walk via a rural track which brings you out on monkey forest road. If you are not up to walking there is free "at call" transport provided by the hotel until 10.00pm at night, finding a taxi after that hour is no problem if you like to stay out late at night. We hired a scooter for A$5 per day from the hotel which I would recommend as a quick way of getting around as traffic is quite conjested in Ubud. The hotel comprises of two levels, the upstairs rooms having the better views. The accomodation is large, light and spotlessly clean and have nice quality televisions with a vast number of foxtel channels to choose from. Daily breakfast is an Indonesian buffet with fruit, croissants, tea and coffee. If you prefer eggs and toast just ask, there is no extra cost. Whilst the hotel has a poolside bar and restaurant it is not fully operational yet. Meals are prepared off site and delivered to the hotel so expect a 20 - 30 min wait for your food, A spa and yoga centre, I am told, will soon be available at the hotel. Lastly, the staff were absolutely delightful, very respectful and eager to please. I am happy to recommend this lovely, inexpensive hotel to anyone whether you are travelling on a budget or not.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms with a west facing aspect have the best views. A corner suite would be perfect.
