Wow! What a beautiful resort!
My friend and I stayed in an Alaya Room for 3 nights recently. Alaya Room overlooking the rice fields and ducks was simply gorgeous. Walking in for the first time had us saying "Wow, wow, wow".
The beds were so comfortable, great air-con, a superb balcony complete with dining table, day bed and awesome view. Loved the open bathroom with the great rain shower head and lovely products.
Beautiful cool pool is not huge but such a lovely setting and exceptional service. (Arjawa, the pool attendant, was our favorite staff member) although all remembered our names from the start and were friendly and welcoming. Loved the manicured gardens and paths.
Best coffee we've found in Bali!! Awesome free wifi. Free afternoon tea is a nice touch. Not really a kids' resort which was perfect for our need for peace.
My only negative would be that the drinks prices are too expensive! Plenty of good restaurants around the resort for reasonably priced cocktails.
There are a lot of stairs around the resort...definitely not suitable for disabled guests.
Apart from those 2 points, I really cannot fault Alaya. Can't wait to visit again and bring my husband along to experience Alaya's beauty!

Stayed here on my own for 5 nights. The staff were wonderful, very attentive and treated me with such respect and friendliness. The rooms are beautifully designed with a walk in shower which made it so much easier for me as I've had a knee replacement. My room was on the ground floor, right opposite the pool which suited me as I could wander to and from without having to negotiate the stairs. I only had to worry about the stairs when going to breakfast or leaving the hotel and there weren't too many. The breakfast was very nice and I also ate there for 2 nights. The food was of excellent quality and the staff were very attentive. The ladies in the spa were lovely as we're the treatments. You can also have a romantic meal in a beautiful Morroccan themed space which I fully intend to do when I return with my husband. My only negative complaint would be the music from the Yoga Barn behind, which Alaya have no control over. They played loud music all day until late evening on the Sunday I was there, which would only be a nuisance if you were in the lovely spa having a treatment or having the romantic meal in the spa area. However, this would not deter me from returning which I am hoping to do later in the year. Thank you Alaya from Ibu Suzanne.

Situated on a convenient and often times very busy and crowded street in Ubud, once you're inside the resort grounds, it feels so peaceful and serene. Rooms near the back overlooking the rice paddy field and swimming pool are relaxing and quiet. Spacious accommodations including a unique design for the 'outdoor' shower and bath tub. Our room had a nice balcony to chill out. Check in process was a bit slow and breakfast & afternoon tea could have used more variety. Other than that, the hotel is conveniently located. Minutes from Monkey Forest and plenty of food options within a 5-15 minutes walk from the hotel. We were dreading all the Bali mosquito horror stories we've read about in the TA reviews yet we didn't experience it while in Bali in March. Maybe it's worse during rainy season. Overall a very pleasant experience at Alaya Resort.
