The resort is located in downtown Ubud, just next to the famous dirty duck restaurant and Monkey Forest. (There is an authorized money exchanger next to the Monkey Forest which offers very good exchange rate.) It is a 25-30 minutes slow walk to Ubud Palace and market, and there are many tiny shops and cafes along the road.
I travelled with my boyfriend and we stayed in the Alaya Room for 2 nights. The room is spacious with a comfortable bed and a large round-shpaed bath tub. I especially like its lovely bamboo signage for indicating "do not disturb/please make up room". Our room overlooked a nice rice field view which is really special to us people living in the city.
They offer a-la-carte breakfast with many choices on the menu, and the menu does change everyday. We patronized their DaLa Spa right after we arrived, very good service and excellent massage, and their massage oil/ingredients for body scrub is of high quality. Would definitely recommend this resort.
