Generally a nice place that unfortunately, like many other places in Bali, is overrun by absurd amounts of tourists.

The attraction is no doubt the families of monkeys who live in the forest. They are generally tame except for a few cheeky ones which may jump onto your shoulder or snatch a loose item from you thinking it is food. They are fed by the keepers, but it is still better to keep your food from their eyes so they will not be climbing all over you.

The monkey forest is a must do. The trees are beautiful and the monkeys a-plenty. They may or may not jump on you or grab your stuff. I may or may not have had to throw my latte on the ground when a monkey tried to take it- OUTSIDE of the sanctuary. The monkeys may be over running the place but its still pretty cool to see.

We were very scared to visit because we heard the monkeys are super aggressive. This was such a beautiful experience. The monkeys esp the babies were super cute and entertaining. the place itself is gorgeous so well done for a monkey sanctuary i was really impressed. would highly recommend visiting

The forest itself is beautiful with many big old trees and a few little temples.
The monkeys themselves scared me a bit, as we saw them jumping people with not provocation. I don't understand why this a tourist sensation. Just for the monkey selfies?
Wouldn't recommend.
