We ate here recently as we were staying close by in Nyuh Kuning. Based on the reviews we were very excited for our vegetarian meals to come. Honestly, what a disappointment. Long waits, small portions and extra greasy. The wait staff were very good and the seat for the Gamelan concert front row, but we've had far more creative food all over Ubud.

We went to Warung Pojok for dinner and it was great. We ordered way too much for two people but at that cheap of a price you couldn't go wrong! Delicious mango lassies. The owner is very friendly and the atmosphere is lovely. Definitely order the spring rolls! Yum!

This Warung is a little bit off the beaten track but extremely good. Situated next to a soccer field you can watch a balinese soccer game while eating. The dishes are very good but kind of cheap. The Warung has only around 4 tables and it is open at the sides, so you get every little lovely breeze.

The Indonesian food is excellent at Warung Pojok, and very cheap. lovely family own it and work there. its an airy place, with views of the local footy field where you can often see locals playing soccer. They do delivery. it has such a great community feel, i often eat there and find myself sitting and chatting with local balinese families or travellers. it feels like a meeting place for the community of travellers, expats, and locals alike. having said that its also peaceful and relaxed. The ayam goreng (fried chicken) and sate ayam (chicken sate) are my favourites.
