Absolutely amazing! My girlfriend and I spent three nights here and it really exceeded our expectations. On arrival you are greeted by staff, given a drink, shown a map of Ubud, select your breakfasts, given a mobile phone for the duration of your stay and shown to your room.

We stayed in the newest room which was fully equipped with everything you needed (even an international power adapter). The bathroom was definitely a highlight which integrated an outdoor styled bathroom with a garden and a little water feature. Shower pressure and hot water was perfect.

Pajar house offers a free shuttle into Ubud that drops you off and picks you up from the palace (can drop you and pick you up further for a small fee e.g. 30,000 rupiah). Despite the hotel being away from the Ubud centre it offered a much quieter and peaceful stay. The shuttles run until 10pm and we were never kept waiting as they had several cars at their disposal.

Breakfast is delivered to your room every morning at the time you allocate and you have several options to choose from. I personally enjoyed the Nasi Goreng. The staff were also very helpful in suggesting restaurants for lunch and dinner.

My girlfriend and I whole heartedly recommend the Pajar house if you intend on staying in the Ubud area!

Room Tip: Number 8!!!

The Pajar House was perfection in our eyes: Our romantic guesthouse had a balinese architecture mixed in with some more contemporary designs, surrounded by a lush garden. We had an open concept kitchen, dined outside where we had delicious breakfast served to us everyday (your meals, whatever you chose, always came with fresh fruit juice, hot beverage of your choice and sliced fruits. We highly recommend their Nasi Goreng!). We had a big comfortable bed equipped with a mosquito net (although we never used it) and our bathroom was semi-open concept as well. I took a 30 minute shower that first night, giddy that I can go stargazing while showering and sitting in the loo. The shower head had good pressure and was hot.

While we were not in the center of Ubud, their complimentary shuttle (running until 10 pm) made it a breeze to travel to town and back to the guesthouse. They provided us with a cellphone which we have used to contact the reception for anything we needed and to arrange shuttle pick ups and drop offs. From Ubud Center, it only took them 10 minutes to pick us up after we make the call. Their drop off and pick up point is at Ubud Palace. Amazing! I mean really you get the best of two worlds -- staying in a Balinese family compound close to the rice fields yet easy and quick access to all the action in town. I would recommend for light sleepers to pack a pair of ear plugs however, because the roosters start crowing way before sunrise! ;) However, it's part of the charm!

The Pajar House is a family run business and really, their hospitality and warmth can't be beat. For example, I called them late at night asking if they had a kettle I could use for tea, and reception immediately sent someone to bring us a thermos of hot water. Truly -- I felt like it was home away from home, only better. Highly recommend -- I miss the Pajar House already! Thank you for such a memorable stay!

I stayed at this hotel last week and loved the accommodation they provided. The location is away from ubud centre and hence is peaceful. The rooms are very beautiful and provided bang for your bucks! The to and fro service from hotel to ubud service was good. Breakfast was good (except the juice). When I checked-in, I had some issues with my room (some insects given the nature loving surrounding), but was promptly allocated another room which was good. I was also provided a mobile free of charge so that I could contact the management whenever needed.

Overall a very nice place to stay for someone looking for a peaceful stay at Ubud. Would recommend it to others.

P.S. They charge Rp 300k for taxi travel from airport, which I found was cheaper than the amount charged by the airport taxi centre (350k).

Pajar House is off the beaten path and you'll need a taxi to get into Ubud (provided free of charge). The staff is warm, friendly and always there to help out. The accommodation is simple yet charming and always clean. The meals were very affordable and very tasty. If you're looking for an affordable place to get away from it all, this is the place. As an extra bonus, definitely explore the area on the bikes that are provided (free of charge) to get a glimpse of everyday life of rural Balinese. Truly special.

We were greeted by the owner, Pak Wayan at the entrance of Pajar House. I realized that he was always ready at the front door to greet visitors each time we came back from our outing. Kadek and Muliadi drove us around for a small fee and I would recommend anyone who wish to visit Ubud, to stay at Pajar House and engaged their tour service so that u don't get conned! They provides excellent service and excellent accommodation. Our kids loved the bathroom! They provide simple, authentic and delicious Balinese food. Three months from now, they will have a swimming pool! So.... Don't wait! Book Pajar House now!!

Room Tip: We stayed in a family room and it had everything that we needed.

The location is beautiful and relaxing;
the rooms are in a traditional balinese architecture complex, well designed and clean; nice bath-tub in open air, relaxing garden around, with little fontains, and open air comfortable spaces. The Service is totally lovely.
Perfect for relaxing romantic time.
We reach the place, north from ubud, by Motorbike, but you can also ask for a shuttle by the Pajar House.

Room Tip: Any room is ok!

this is definately a beautiful suprise i had during my short stay in ubud.they have 6 rooms and it is very clean and comfortable, very modern and private.food is great and the staff is very helpful ! i loved it .

the only regret is that i cannot stay longer, they are building a new room and a swimming pool now so hopefully i will be back again.

the biggest guestroom is the best so make sure if you can get that one if you are with your partner, they have an open shower and tub, this is the best ,cleanest, cosy guesthouse i stayed in ubud. the staff is nice sweet, very friendly family.it's fantasitc staying there.

some roasters at late nite and morning.but it's fine if you like it. i suggest them to build a small dining house for guests to come and eat,or just chill and catch up.

im coming back for sure! recommended!
