“Total relaxation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 November 2010

Our stay at Kayumanis was the highlight of our trip. If you have a high pressure lifestyle and need to unwind and chillout fast while getting first class service, this is it! I couldn't believe after only one day I was resting blissfully by our private pool totally relaxed.
The villas are very spacious and private, with a separate outdoor living area, bathroom and large pool, which was absolutely amazing. We spent most of our time outside in the living area, which has a lounge and TV. The bed is so comfortable & huge (my partner is 6 foot 1 & I lost him during the night! I have to admit that it won't be suited to everyone and I'll detail that further down.
Being quite hyper I was concerned about the reviews stating that the resort was very quiet, and 15-20 mins from Ubuds town centre. With a free private vehicle available, to take you anywhere at 10 minutes notice, at any time of day (including pick up), this really wasn't an issue. If you want, the driver will happily stop at any location while you check out a local shop etc.
Having a butler (24hour service) come and prepare breakfast & lunch was absolutely fabulous. The food was of a very high quality and close to best we had during our entire stay in Bali. Overall I can't fault the service.
During my stay I had a spa treatment, which although it was on the expensive side for Bali ($150 for 3 hours) I felt that it was totally worth it. You can get a much cheaper basic massage in Ubud centre (about $10 for an hour) which I also tried, but the hotels spa experience was definitely superior.
I mentioned earlier that this resort wont be for everyone: if you're after a view the deluxe villas won't meet the criteria - it is totally private with high stone walls surrounding the entire 300sq mtr villa (great to sunbathe nude though!) There is also an outdoor shower (which feels great to shower outside in the balmy weather) and also an outdoor toilet that may not suit those that are prudish with their partners. Finally, if you're wanting to be at the footstep of the frantic pace & noisy part of Ubud maybe stay at Komaneka Monkey Forest.

All villa's with swimmingpool and excellent 24-hour butlerservice. Free shuttle to Ubud area, great food and wine, excellent spa facilities. If you enjoy quiet and being spoiled, that's the place to be!!

We celebrated my partner's birthday by making a short trip to Bali in April, 2010.
We had arranged for an airport pickup through Golden Bird, Bali (mkt.gb.bali@bluebirdgroup.com) and were met by there representative on our arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali.
The cab driver was fluent in English and informative. He even took a slight detour and took us to a central bank to get out money changed to the local currency in order to obtain a fair exchange rate. Overall our transfer to Ubud was handled quite efficiently and we have Golden Bird Bali to thank for it.
On arrival at the hotel, our check-in was smooth and handled professionally by Era at the front desk.
We were shown to our villa, which was breathtakingly awesome.
The villa has two distinct areas separated by a plunge pool. On one side is the bedroom along with an open air shower, open plan toilet and bath. The other side has the living and dining area with a small room with day loungers and a separate open air shower and toilet area.
The staff were very friendly and always wore a smile, which looked genuinely warm.
The breakfast area has breathtakingly beautiful views as it is perched on a wooden platform above the river.
The resort also has an infinity pool with views of the river.
The spa area too is awesome.
We thank the management and their staff for an unforgettable holiday! Bali was even more memorable thanks to their hospitality and excellent facilities.

Stayed at Kayumanis Ubud for three days, and arriving at the villa late at night after a very long flight from Europe was like stepping into paradise: Everything was designed to make you feel relaxed, welcome and enjoying true luxury: The space, the quality of the design, the private pool, the attention to detail and the feeling of peace.

Perfect is the word to describe it, from the outside cascade shower, the separate dining area and the sheer size of the private compound.

One could easily spend 3 days there without even leaving the villa, taking full advantage of the amazing spa, the setting in the jungle and the fabolous views but with Ubud just round the corner and free private shuttle, this is a place to truly enjoy the best that Bali has to offer.

Recommended without any hesitation!

Very nice and cosy pool villas. Like living in the middle of the jungle yet very comfortable. You feel at home immediatley.

The food was the best during our entire stay in Bali (and we stayed 2 weeks in other places as well)

The view from the small SPA huts and the restaurant is amazing.

Couldn't be better.

Our recent visit to Kayumanis Ubud was superb. Our 3 bedroom villa was the perfect place to escape and unwind with its uninterrupted views of lush greenery creeping over the infinity pool. The staff were extremely attentive and happy to meet all requests. The breakfast combined with the breathtaking views from the restaurant was a fantastic start to each day. Although the villa was ideal for our group of 3 couples there wasn’t enough lounge seating in living area for 6 people. In addition the kitchen appliances seemed dated. That said our overall experience was dreamy.
