Fantastic place... We didn't find any other place in Ubud with all these things in one package: Rice terrace view, air-conditioned rooms and a charming small swimming pool.

In front the house you have a beautiful view of rice terraces and palm trees, and everything around the house, pool and garden is well-kept.

It is nicely out of town and traffic, and you fell you are at the countryside, even though it´s in walking distance (10 min to Ubud Palace).
Jalan Bisma is the nearest road, and it is one of the only streets where you can still enjoy eating in the outside restaurants at the side of the road without being bothered by the traffic.

There is no road going all the way down to the house so you have to walk 150 meters along a path through the rice fields - but it´s a really nice little journey. It feels safe also in the night, and you will always meet a few tourists since there are a few guesthouses around, and it is lightened up at night.

The rooms are not traditional Balinese style, but light and very basic - so don't expect super charm or design here. But they are super thoroughly cleaned every day and everything works well.

It is a very calm and relaxed place, and since there a very few rooms so you often have the feeling of having a private little villa all by yourself.

The only thing I didn't absolutely love about this place is the caged birds, which you'll find everywhere in Ubud.
I mean…love the birds - but why cage the sweeties?
If you stay there, do me a favor and check they are at least out of the sunlight in the daytime!

My highest recommendations anyhow, and would definitely go back again.

Room Tip: The downstairs rooms are cooler but the view from the balcony is better from the upstairs rooms. The...

Nice and peaceful away from busy streets. The owner and the young man that works here are very pleasant and helpful. Very clean and the young man cleans rooms every day. The pool area is very nice and well looked after.
Thermos regularly available on your balcony. Breakfast cooked by owners wife either toast & egg or pancakes and fresh fruit. No choices you just get whats made.
Love the area outside bathroom for storage and the extra sink great for washing clothes.
Really comfortable big bed. Only 1 pillow each though. And only 1 bedside table. Be nice to have 1 on each side.
A few not so good points -
The rain (most afternoons in Ubud) comes onto the balcony areas and makes the tiles very VERY slippery. Maybe some blinds of some sort to stop this.
Toilet paper -For some reason they don't leave a spare roll in room. Twice we had to ask for some.
No bath mat in bathroom, you stand in the bath to shower so stepping out of bath onto tiled floor a bit of a worry.
Every afternoon the owner burns the rubbish at the back of the building. The smoke comes straight in through bathroom windows and even if they are shut it still gets in. We didn't realise how much we smelt of smoke until we got home. Everything we had with us has needed to be washed.
Enjoyed our stay but a few improvements would make this an even better place to stay.

Room Tip: Room at top of stairs has very little privacy. Everyone comes up the stairs at side of room and has...

We were so lucky when we could stay in the best room in the house (I guess so because the swimming pool is right in front of the room). I was so surprised of the cleanliness and new condition of the guesthouse. Though the car can't access till the gate of the guesthouse but it is a typical guesthouse in Ubud which is surrounded by rice fields.

The location is also good, near Ubud central and market, many beautiful restaurants and coffee shops nearby.

We stayed here a few nights and loved it, we came back we liked it so much. The owner and his staff were amazing, really nice and helpful, we had tea every day and a different breakfast. Pool and setting is stunning. Location is good too near palace and market. One of the nicest places we stayed at and the price didn't reflect how gorgeous it was. Highly recommend! !!

We spent a week at Dewa House Bisma and really loved it. The setting is idyllic, with a little infinity pool that overlooks the rice paddies and a grove of palms and bamboo below. The room was spotlessly clean and the breakfasts were good. The owner was an amazing gentleman who was friendly and helpful, and made us feel very much at home. Access to the property is on a foot/motorbike path off Jalan Bisma. A few reviews we read felt this was a drawback to their stay, but we were happy to walk in. It gets you back away from the noise of the main road, and makes it a bit more of an authentic, Balinese experience. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would absolutely recommend it as a great place to stay in Ubud. We would go back again in a heartbeat!

This was the second time we stayed at this beautiful relaxing place. Go for room "1b" which is right in front of the pool. It's a large family room with a king size bed and two single beds, a TV, fridge, AC and a large bathroom. It's sparkling clean and you'll have a charming view over the pool to palm trees and rice fields. Due to its location it's very quiet and relaxing. Be aware that you cannot drive to the guesthouse by car (you'll have to walk about 200-300 meters from Jalan Bisma) - but there is no problem if you have a motorbike. The staff is very lovely and will prepare you a simple but yummy breakfast (fruit salad + something else).

We stayed in many different places in Ubud - but this is still our favorite!
Enjoy :)
