Staying here was an incredible experience! The owners gave us tons of recommendations and connected us with a GREAT driver (Blue) who spoke perfect English and told us lots of interesting stories about the island of Bali. We woke up every morning to a fresh, delicious breakfast by the housekeeper, Made, along with an amazing fruit smoothie. The house is close enough to town that we could walk there in about 15 minutes, but far enough away that we felt like we were in a quiet oasis. I can't wait to go back and stay there again!
**Don't forget to go white water rafting, rent a scooter, see the Water Temple, hike Mt Batur, and eat some of the delicious food Ubud has to offer!
We stayed here for four days in July, 2015. The Balinese staff are amazing. However, I would be very careful about renting from this expat owner. There was construction going on right next door during our entire stay. The owner apparently knew about it when we booked, but failed to warn us. Therefore, there was constant noise. On our fourth and final day, there was a very loud generator running all day until about 9pm. One of our group was ill with food poisoning that day, and could not escape the noise. At around 7:30pm, in the pitch dark, we asked the construction workers to stop the noise. One of them threw a metal bucket down from the roof towards us. It narrowly missed my teenage daughter's head. We contacted the staff at their cell phone numbers, and they were very apologetic, but said not to contact police. The owner of the property was away in Cuba and could not be reached. Two of us emailed her, and one of the staff contacted her. We waited for her response, and after more than two weeks following her return from Cuba, we emailed her again. She apologized after this second email, explaining that she had just returned and knew all along about the construction, but did not know what impact it might have on guests. One of our group suggested some sort of financial reimbursement, but she did not respond to that suggestion. Overall, a very disappointing response from the property owner to what was a very negative and dangerous experience for us.

We stayed in this villa for three weeks while our children attended Bahasa classes at the nearby Cinta Bahasa. The house and Pia and Ratna, the friendly staff, were all one could ever dream of for such as stay. The information provided by the owners was accurate and comprehensive and the assistance in arranging our late night arrival (after midnight direct from a flight from Sydney) by Blue, their recommended driver could not be bettered. The house is well appointed and clean, the staff a delight and Pia's breakfasts (included in the excellent value rent) a morning treat. My children learn Bahasa in Australia and are already talking about another trip to attend Cinta Bahasa in 2015 - if we do it, we hope the Villa Semua Suka is available as it would be a "must stay at" for a return visit!
