The pictures on their website don't do justice. No wonder that the hotel is always fully-booked and you need to book at least 6 months in advance. That's what I felt when the staff showed me my room (Deluxe no 17). The view is just breathtaking and it's next to the fantastic pool so my son really loved it. Everything is just superb. Room was very clean and well maintenance, not to mention spacious. The bed was comfortable, the couch is great for lounging, the terrace is perfect for overlooking the rice paddies. There was a minor problem with hot water but it didn't matter that much. They fixed it right away. We moved to Deluxe Wooden no 16 (right above the our Deluxe room) after 2 nights and both are equally stunning. The bath-up was huge and the outdoor bed is very relaxing. Love every wooden detail in this room. You can get even better view of rice paddies here. But it was raining at night so there was a lot of insects around the terrace (some kind of flying ants?) and it was a bit dull in the morning. But there's not a problem at all. Even the rate didn't include breakfast, it's still excellent value of money. You can order breakfast/room service at affordable price and they could delivered it to your room so you can enjoy your tasty breakfast with the amazing scenery. The staff was very helpful and friendly and they did make efforts to ensure your stay is enjoyable. I'm a sucker for hospitality so it's a plus plus plus for me. Location is great and it's near a supermarket, Monkey Forest, Central Ubud, and a lot of places to eat/shop. It's a pity that I only stayed there for 3 nights. Can't tell you how much I love this hotel and I can't wait to be back soon!

Room Tip: Deluxe Wooden room (no. 17) has a better view of rice-paddies

My partner and I just came back to Singapore from 3 wonderful night stays at this hotel in Ubud and not to write a nice review would be doing a great injustice to this fine hotel. Yes ! Everything you read in the review is true. You have to experience it for yourself.! The nice relaxing view of the green padi field just right from the window of your hotel ; even from the bathroom; breakfast from the balcony of your room; the spaciousness , cleaniless of the hotel; the helpfulness of the staff. They will transport you to anywhere you want to go in Ubud center (spa or restaurant) and pick you up again for free.No need to worry about finding the place .The service is prompt and most of the time we were the only one in the car(not a shuttle bus).Once I have problem with the wifi in my tablet and 2 different person came up to my room to resolve the issue. The wifi is good .Breakfast as stated is not provided but you can ordered it from their 2 restaurants nearby or have it served in your room at no extra charges. They also have their own Pertinin Spa nearby where they can send and pick you up back .We stay in 2 types of room : the superior room for 2 nights (Room 3) and the super deluxe room for 1 night (Room 12).
The super deluxe was worth the extra money we paid for it.We were also shown some of the villas which they have and not in their website. They cost 1.5 million rupees per night for the down stair room and 1million rupees per night for the up stair room. The down stair room was quite impressive with indoor swimming pool, small koi fishes, seperate massage area and kitchen. They are also building a block of new rooms to be ready in 2015. This place is surrounded by plants and flowers and not far from the eating and shopping belt. There is also a supermarket called Coco within walking distance where you can get a lot of stuff. It is just next to the famous Dirty Duck restaurant. Go ahead and book. You wont regret it.

Room Tip: Ask for an up stair room (if you have no mobility problem) with unobstructed view of the padi field...

Very nice hotel, situated in center of Ubud but you will experience the silence of the paradise. Big room, very clean but no television but who need TV in Ubud. Great swimming pool face rice field. No breakfast but you can find lots of restaurants near.

Room Tip: You may try deluxe wooden room

I stayed here with my partner in August for 2 nights. We stayed in the new Tower rooms and paid 220kR per night (this didn’t include breakfast or A/C as it is an option for budget travellers). The staff were all lovely, the pool and restaurant were fantastic, and we had spectacular views of the rice paddies from our room (although you’ll need a head for heights as the staircase was around the outside of the building!). The hotel’s north entrance is next to the Monkey Forest so it is ideally located. You may also rent scooters or bicycles from reception. A very good hotel.

Room Tip: Second tower room has bathroom downstairs

We had a very clean, spacious room with a great rice field view. the service was very helpful and friendly, breakfast delivered from the enclosed restaurant. Tegal Sari is a recommendation for Ubud for a very good price.

Everything is in walking distance - the town center, Yoga Barn, Monkey Forrest - and still they have a free transport service.

Despite being a bit sceptical, we decided to try this hotel only because of the constantly outstanding reviews. We were not disappointed. Bear in mind that it is not a 5 star hotel but a very personalised hotel in a good position. Yes the booking system and prepayment is a little annoying but persevere.

The staff are excellent and that is probably their secret....great personal service. Each and every staff member makes an effort to ensure your stay is enjoyable. Nothing is too much trouble and everything handled efficiently and with a smile.

We stayed in a Super Deluxe room overlooking the rice paddies. For some inexplicable reason I just love looking over the paddies as there is always something to see and something going on - from the farmer each morning and afternoon, birds, ducks etc there is always activity but the aspect is very calming and relaxing.

The tariff doesn't include breakfast, but this can be ordered from the hotel's café at a very cheap rate and delivered to your room No room delivery charge and no minimum order, so we also had a few meals delivered to the room as well. Nice food, not a huge range, but very tasty and very reasonably priced. They do not charge a room delivery fee- so why not eat on your own terrace?

We did look at the new 1 bedroom pool villa. This is a lovely villa, marred only by the fact that the 2 bedroom villa next door overlooks a large part of the villa, particularly the pool area. They have planted bamboo as a screen so it will screen off the view eventually, but sadly I would not want to be overlooked all the time. The balcony overlooking seemed to be off the bedrooms, but every time we went past, there was always someone sitting on that balcony and looking directly into the 1 brm pool area. At approx. AUD$150 per night, I thought it was very good value.

In short, I would add my accolades to the continuing chorus and would definitely return in a flash.

Room Tip: Our super deluxe room was up one flight of stairs. If you had trouble walking or problems with tak...

This is a great hotel and represents excellent value for money. The best things for me were the helpfulness of the staff and the setting. It is a strange layout - long and thin and effectively runs between two rice fields with views over to Monkey Forest. Best bit was dusk, watching the bats and owls come out and listening to the frogs. It felt like you were in the middle of the countryside but you're not - you are 5/10 minutes walk from the main shopping drag and there are numerous restaurants etc in the immediate vicinity if you choose. Breakfast was great value. Yes, the booking process is a bit slow but that's probably because they're so popular and rightfully so. Stick with it, allow 48 hours or so for a response and book your stay!!

Room Tip: If a green rice paddy view is important - check with hotel when they harvest (3 times a year I think...
