“Perfection itself.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 August 2012

We booked 3 nights here as part of our honeymoon and an hour after checking in found ourselves asking for 2 more nights! This place is the perfect honeymoon hideaway. Set amongst lush tropical forest it has all that you can wish for. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, the rooms are beautiful, the grounds inspiring and swimming in the infinity pools surrounded by untouched rainforest surely gives a taste of heaven. There are only 14 rooms here so you feel as if the place is all yours.
We booked the luxury pool villa with it's own garden and plunge pool and spent days whiling away time on our day bed beside the pool.
We had married in the UK earlier in the year but had met each other in Bali 14 years ago and wanted a Balinese blessing. We mentioned this to Ni Ktut, the sales manager and lo and behold in the space of 3 days she had arranged a beautiful and moving Balinese blessing ceremony for us, enrolling the services of the local priest, arranging offerings and flowers and even sarongs for us. This truly was the highlight of our honeymoon.
There are not enough words so say how much we enjoyed our time at the Natura, suffice to say, one day we will return.

Overall experience was wonderful! The hotel location is 10 minute car ride from Ubud, and there is a shuttle schedule through out the day to take you to/from Ubud. The staff is AMAZING! Everyone is kind, professional, and helpful. Each day we were greeted warmly and each evening we were asked how are day was, if we needed anything. Not in an intrusive or pushy way, but in a caring way. Two stand outs from the staff; Nonik and Gusti; both in the open air restaurant. They went the extra mile (and again EVERYONE was wonderful) and made recommendations, took an interest in our lives back home, etc. Two of the nicest people we met; and all the Balinese people we had contact with were welcoming and helpful.
The room did have some cosmetic issues as noted in other reviews, and the maintenance staff needs to address them. The grounds are well maintained and you see the staff sweeping and cleaning all day.
The spa experience and staff was amazing! Highly recommend the reflexology treatment!!

You are in the jungle; expect geckos and lizards in your room daily. You can see monkeys and squirrels in the trees and you'll hear them on the roof. I loved it! We never had contact with them, just heard them and saw them.

The restaurant provides a continental breakfast that provides some variety. We had dinner there a couple of nights and the food was good, but we preferred trying new places in town.

We arranged for a shuttle pick up to/from the airport. Our driver was Royale, and we hired him as a driver for 2 other days. The Reception staff is very helpful in arranging drivers, things to do, etc. The hotel has a specific cooking class, take it!! The class is done at a family compound a few doors down from the hotel.

We stayed here for 8 days. Other travels stayed 2-4 days. Central location in the island made it easy to do day trips to the East and South areas of the island.

This was my first time to Bali and I fell in love with it and it's people. I look forward to my next vacation there and would stay at the Natura Resort and Spa again.
This is a peaceful location, and very beautiful.

Room Tip: We stayed in Villa 14, great view, near the restaurant and pool area. King size bed, double vanity...

There are not enough words to express my admiration and gratitude to the people of the Natura Spa and Hotel in Ubud, Bali. The created a warm and inviting atmosphere, catered to all our needs and wants and were smiling and kind the whole time. They made an amazing trip infinitely better. Thank you to everyone!

Room Tip: There are really no bad rooms. But be prepared to climb steps

Fantastic, secluded jungle retreat. Perfect for couples. A haven from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. Prompt shuttle service to and from Ubud that runs from mid morning til late at night. Delicious welcome drink and 10 minute welcome massage. Lots of restaurants in Ubud and, shopping in Ubud is great too. We spent two wonderful days at the Natura Villas in Ubud. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in a One Bedroom Pool Villa with fantastic views over the river and ravine. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.....next time.

Room Tip: Villa 11 is great - the private pool overlooks the ravine and river. It's very private and has a...

Natura is quiet, understated and elegant. It hits the mark for tastefully fitting in with its beautiful, natural sorroundings. Natura is not a large resort, so you will never have to battle others to use one of the two pools, jaccuzzi, or for the attention of staff at its excellent restaurant. Many of the villas have their own pools, day beds and outdoor area, so if you like, you can stay within the privacy of your own space.

We spent nine days at Natura, it was perfect to relax and unwind. The villas with private plunge pools are excellent and worth the extra money. We throughly enjoyed reading books on the day bed, lounging by the plunge pool and listening to the sounds of a rushing river and local birds and wildlife. I particularly liked the private outdoor bathroom, this was something special. Natura's two main pools are immaculate and the views from these are also breathtaking. We really enjoyed the food at the hotel restaurant, the Indonesian meals particulalry, but the western meals were good too. The breakfasts, which are included in the price, are excellent, especially the French bread basket. The staff throughout the hotel are helpful, gracious and so efficient. Our room would be cleaned while we ate breakfast and ready on our return. Natura truely is a special place. I would highly reccommend it.

Room Tip: The villas with private plunge pools are certainly worth the extra money for the space and privacy...

This is my second visit to natura resort. I loved the placed so much that I returned this time with my parents and sister. This time I stayed in the 2 bedroom villa with plunge pool. The villa was spacious with outstanding views of the jungle. We loved siping our g&ts watching the sun going down, using the i pad to plan the next day activities and getting wet in the plunge pool. The hotel grounds are stuning and at night the place looks enchanting with the soft lighting along the walk ways.We loved coming home to natura the after a hard day of pounding the concrete, sightseeing and looking for bargains and used the shuttle service many times as we found this to be a reliable and prompt service.
The resort only has 14 villas, each very private and quiet and would be suitable for honeymoon/couple or family vacation.
The service at natura was impeccable. My sister asked to change her pillows (she likes flat pillows) and within two minutes they sent a variety of pillows for her to choose from, As we had a late flight they let us leave our luggage with them and use the large pool.
If you like hearing the noise of motorbikes and traffc, need to be close to a bar and scared of the jungle this is not a place for you.
If you like hearing the noise of the river, need a place to relax, rejuvenate, and feel special; this place is for you

I spent three nights with my girlfriend at the natura resort and spa in early august and had an absolutely incredible experience.

What jumps out is the placement of the hotel in the middle of the jungle, The dining area towers above a dramatic gorge at the bottom of which runs a fresh water torrent. While the hotel is somewhat outside of town, this is not a problem at all because there is a shuttle running very regularly from and to, so you don't feel cut off.

It is a boutique hotel that has the luxury and service of a 5 star resort. It is totally commited to environmental conservation. Natura’s compound has been purposefully and carefully designed by prominent local architect Popo Danes so that its construction and operation would cause minimum damage to the land, plants, trees and other natural features in the area.

I would recommend this hotel unconditionally.
