“Nice place....construction next door!!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 July 2013

We stayed here a few nights ago just for one night, we also got them to pick us up from the airport, all carried out seamlessly...check in and staff all vry very friendly and polite, the room we originally booked was fine however if your a light sleeper there is a hotel being constructed next door so between 6 -7 all day it's quiet noisy, we asked to change room as we were wrecked from travelling, they did so at a cost, not much mind you ....deluxe room, really nice.
Pool area is small but very nice, breakfast is not great at all...I ordered the nasi goreng prob the worst one Ive tried so far.
Overall pleasant stay, would recommend, few negatives overall good.

We walked into a lot of properties in Ubud, some I knew from the past, and some new. This one, though giving away nothing from the curb, was real nice. Pretty waterfall pool, each deluxe room a set-on-it's-own entry. Good sized modernish bali-esque rooms, comfy good baths. We really liked the place, and moved from one not as plushy and 33% less expensive to be here. The problems we ran into were personal and probably might not trouble you. One was the presence of mosquitos, a few that bit and woke me up. Now of course I could have asked for them to spray, but I try to avoid inhaling any pesticides, following the research that they have been tied to earlier brain failure in aging. The other was that the curtains were not true black-out and only blocked some of the light, and the early morning was too bright for me in the room for easy sleeping. We really liked the place, the people were nice, and it's really a charmer. Location great, near everything you would need, and easy to get around and from. It was with a somewhat mixed emotion that we left just for the very personal reasons stated.
We really do like the place a lot, and would recommend it.

Room Tip: The deluxe rooms are real comfy

Tunjung Mas was well-maintained.
I stayed in the deluxe room for 2 nights.
The room was big enough for two people.
As to the bathroom, it was the biggest one I've ever seen during the trips in the past. As other people already mentioned, it was a bit weird that the toilet was far away from the bathtub, on the other end of the bathroom. It didn't matter, though.
Staffs are very friendly :) The breakfast they served was decent.
The downside is that while sunlight coming through the big windows and doors during daytime made the room very bright, it was a bit too dark in the evening with a few small lamps hanging on the very high ceiling.

There's a Coco supermarket within 5 min walking distance.

Room Tip: # 5 room had a great view.

Nice staff greeting and lovely welcome drink
Room is clean. Green decoration around hotel
Breakfast is excellent, you have to pick 1 of a list. Number 2 and 3 is great.
It is in the city of Ubud and you can find some nice restaurant around hotel.

This place is amazing. When you pull up, you think that you go into the front, but you drive down a pathway where you are greeted with a lovely ambiance of Koi fish swimming in the pond, green plants and flowers like a enchanted forest and artistry all over. We were greeted by a great staff that was awesome for the all the days we stayed, accompanied with welcome drinks. Made (pronounced Modee) and Gede (pronounced Geday) were great hosts. Any problems they assist you right away. The standard room was just like the photos and we loved the open bathroom concept. The gentlemen clean the room everyday with fresh towels and toiletries. (If you can afford the deluxe or suites, go for it. They are lovely and look like the pics too). They have a Television, but it only has Indonesian channels. But you won't miss watching T.V. The morning breakfast was 4 item choices that you pick the evening before. Not a huge selection, but great so you don't get too confused. Lovely breakfasts with fresh fruit and fresh fruit juices each morn. Some days we didn't eat lunch because we were still full from breakfast. The pool was intimate and refreshing. Not to big, not to small. The grounds are well maintained. They have a Spa on site. I Got a great massage for $9USD. How can you beat that? They also have a shuttle that will take you to Ubud center. We would walk back. Tunjung is right by The Monkey Forest. So we would walk past there to go the center and you can see the monkeys without even going into the park. The area is definitely a positive. Unlimited places to eat in the areas, as well as temples and art museums. A nice 20-25 minute stroll to Ubud Center is a plus. There's a supermarket COCO up the street. As well as a Mini mart across the street for a late night snack. They have a Cambio right across the street and that was so convenient. The negative is, there is construction going on right now (MAY). Honestly, it was our alarm clock and after the 3rd day, we were use to it. It wasn't a distraction @ all being @ Tunjung and there are so much things to do in Bali anyway. TIP: Organize with Tunjung through email for a taxi. Cheaper than getting one from the hustlers at the airport, unless your ready to spend your time bargaining to get to the bungalows.

Room Tip: Choose the Deluxe or the Suites. But the standard is also good.

We stayed only for 2 nights in a standard double room. We can definitely recommend this place and would go there again. The atmosphere is very nice, quiet and relaxing. The pool is not very bit but absolutely okay and very nice. Our room was very clean and with a nice view out of the window. very nice! For breakfast they offer 4 different options, we tried 3 of them which were very good. If you want to go to the Ubud center, it is a 15minutes walk along a street with nice small shops.

We went to Tungung mas Bungalows in december 2012 with my family, so in total 5 persons (one just married couple, grand parents and mother). We stayed for 5 nights within the Deluxe and Standart room. The location, staff hospitality, cleanliness, massage and other aspects were really perfect. It is very quiet even if it is located near the center. if you get the opportunity to visit it, don t miss it? You'll enjoy it!!!
