“massive deluxe room”
Reviewed 28 January 2014

The hotel at first glance off the main road was nothing to brag about. At the lobby, it was a different story. Lush vegetation, fish and shrimp to look at while checking in with your welcome drink. The staff was very friendly and explained everything. Breakfast was a set menu of 4 choices, you can pick one with a drink and they will bring it to your room at the time you ask for it. You can also enjoy breakfast in the restaurant. From what I recall this is this only meal they serve. There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance as this hotel is in a good location. Monkey forest is a 5 minute walk and all shops within 5-15 minutes depending where you want to shop. The deluxe room we had was on the ground floor with a private terrace and yard. Lots of vegetation. The room itself was massive, I could do flips in there. The bathroom was large as well. If you like room, this is the place. The beds were comfortable and had good nights sleep here. There was no remote for the tv but that was ok. We left a room light on one evening while out for supper and cameback to 40 ant flies flocking toward the light. No idea how they got in the room but I recommend turning all your lights off when you arent in the room. The pool area was small with only 4 loungers and 2 tables, but the pool itself was nice. Overall a great place, especially for the price.

Room Tip: Deluxe is worth the few extra bucks compared to the standard rooms.

My teenage daughter and I had the pleasure of staying here recently and simply had a fantastic time at this hotel. The friendly staff were truly wonderful and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was most satisfactory with eggs made to order and we particularly appreciated the free shuttle when available (which as it turned out was every time we requested it!). This has become our new favourite place in Ubud and I have absolutely no hesitation recommending this hotel to others. We hope to be able and return very soon.

We stayed here for 3 nights before continuing to the gilli islands. Loved our stay. Bit tricky to find, but we got there in the end. Lovely welcome with a waiting drink
We had a deluxe room and it was massive. 4 poster bed with mozzy net ( however the nets don't stay together , kept opening. The bathroom was huge, way too big, with a separate toilet room. Lovely bath, shame the plug didn't fit the bath plug hole so the water didn't stay in. You choose where and what time u want breakfast. Our was delivered everyday exactly on time on our balcony, perfect!
On our last day we were leaving at 7am, which is too early for breakfast, however they still made us toast and drinks, lovely touch
Highly recommend,

Had a great time in Ubud and this hotel was a great deal. Its located really close to everything but still off the loud and busy street (steps away) so its quiet and peaceful. I stayed in a regular room with a friend but the deluxe rooms looked more like villas, I could see myself coming here for a family vacation or honeymoon! The staff were really friendly and helpful and the breakfast was nothing too amazing but it was great to have that included! The massage was also nice and we got the scrub too which was a good deal.

As far as the room went- we had lots of room to spread out and a little fridge and TV (not in English). We had a corner room upstairs with lots of light and a nice view over the trees. The bathrooms are strange in that there is a clear glass wall that looks into the room, its an easy fix just to close the curtains in the bathroom- but a strange set up unless I guess you are more than just friends! We had two twin beds and they were much larger than regular twins.

Honestly this place was such a great little oasis to come back to each day. I read somewhere about construction and was nervous about that when we got there but I never heard one single thing!

I definitely recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: If you're getting a regular room then the 2nd floor was great because it had a nice view over th...

We went to the spa several times and it was wonderful. Very clean, good staff (who didn't chat to eachother whilst working) and when they had the special fantastic value.
The accommodation is great value and the position is very central but quiet. Worth a visit.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this peaceful hotel. It's perfect for those traveling on the Perama nus (budget transfers around Bali for tourists), and the hotel has free pick up and drop off by van or scooter (pending availability). Really friendly staff, no mosquitoes in the room, and great value. Couldn't have asked for more!

If you want to stay somewhere in Ubud, you'll never go wrong with Tunjung Mas Bungalows. We stayed there for 4D3N and the location is just perfect --- just outside you'll find many interesting restaurants, non-commissioned and honest money changers, spa houses (just in case you miss the in-house spa that isn't open until 11am), and some of the best spots Bali has to offer ranging from walking distances to 2-3 hours of driving. The standard rooms are clean and provides pretty much everything you need --- water heater, mini-refrigerator, aircon, electric sockets, cabinets, small shoe rack, hangers, bath and face towels, other toiletries (toothbrush, ample supply of tissue papers, etc.), a TV (Indonesian channels only, but weirdly still highly-entertaining), hairblower (for the ladies), and many more. The staff are very friendly and will respond immediately to whatever your need is. The free breakfast are yummy and generously served. The entire area has this relaxing feel to it. The hotel offers taxi and shuttle services too! Regarding the construction noise, we were not bothered by it at all (there are zero noise at night). For something relatively cheap, the PROS very much outweighs the CONS you read on other reviews. If we are to come back in Bali, we will definitely stay here again.
