This hotel is a small and beautifully designed one, with only 10 guest rooms. Our spacious room on the second floor has a high ceiling, a wooden floor, a very large bathtub, and a balcony looking out on rice fields. The dining room on the bottom floor overlooks a creek and a well designed garden. The services are meticulous. Breakfasts are excellent. The hotel also has a swimming pool. I detect only 2 small problems: the sound-proofing for our room can be better, and lights by the bed are weak for bedtime reading. Overall, a beautiful and highly recommended hotel.

It certainly had exceeded our expectation with ALL the friendly and helpful staffs! The clean rooms with scenic green paddy field make the whole stay so much comfy and relaxing. Breakfast here are fantastic, with a one day pre-order in advance and the staffs actually remember each guests by name and greet us and serve our pre-ordered breakfast set accordingly. Polite and helpful staffs, specially we'd like to recognise the front desk night shift young man Delir and the waitress who serves us breakfast everyday with first class service.

Me and my girl really had a very good Nyepi holiday at Junjungan hotel !
We've booked the hotel a few days prior, and we arrived there around sunset 22/3/2012. The location is kinda secluded, on a long long small road, but the view is gorgeous and the air is fresh. ALL of the staff are very nice and friendly. They smile sincerely, not a faking one like many hotels and resorts that I've visited. What surprised us, they know our names right after we stepped out from our car ! Even the staff in restaurant knew our names. They keep greeting us by our names until we checked out from the hotel. It surely gives a friendly and warm atmosphere for all the guests.

The deluxe room : spacious and comfy ! our doublebed is comfy, with pillows and bolsters. big bathtub for two ppl, and a terrace with gorgeous ricefield view. we had breakfast once at the terrace, hearing birds, wind and breathing fresh air while eating delicious food. It was heaven! Almost forgot to mention the high ceiling. My personal thanks to the staff (Siwi). At first, the rooms with high ceiling were all booked out. But Siwi realised that I really like the high ceiling. In just half day, she called me and said she managed to free a room for me. I was surprised and immediately transfered full payment without second thought.

The resto : first, the view is nice. We can watch small rivers and trees while waiting for our food. The food itself is delicious, althought not many choices if you want to have different menus everytime for 2 days during Nyepi. The price is still acceptable. Not too expensive compared to other hotels, but not very cheap either. For the breakfast, they have ala carte only, but they have 11 set menu that we can choose from.

Nyepi occasion : since during Nyepi we have to turn of the lights and do not make loud noise, the staff already prepared by marking some of the light switches with tape, for us not to turn them on at night unless it's urgent. They also delivered the dinner to our rooms. We borrowed some dvd from the reception and they also sent free afternoon tea with pancake.

Overall : It was a very enjoyable stay. Surely we will remember this holiday at Junjungan, and we already recommend this place to some of our friends. A suitable place if you want to experience quiet and natural scene, away from car pollution and cities.

Our stay at junjungan was definitely the highlight of our trip to Bali. The standard of service was outstanding and we were waited on for our every need. I can't speak highly enough about the staff, their friendly, professional and caring attitude was genuinely felt throughout our stay.

Breakfast exceeded our expectations and there were plenty of different options to choose from. Complimentary afternoon tea with banana fritters and warm homemade cookies served daily.

The rooms are huge, well furnished and have excellent views onto the rice paddies. All air conditioned with mini bar, large baths and impressive hand carved furniture. The hotel is about 5-10 mins from ubud centre but dont let that put you off. It is set in beautiful surroundings. There is a free shuttle available until 10pm and free bikes at your disposal.

I would definitely return to junjungan it is excellent value would and recommend it to anyone visiting ubud.

We booked this hotel for 4D/3N (early of March 2012) directly to Junjungan Hotel few days before we stay. The information that we get from TripAdvisor was so helpful, such as hotel review and views of this hotel.

By the time we arrived, I felt in love for the first time of this unique beautiful hotel and a very welcome receptionist -Siwi-. Surprisingly, she told us that our room was being upgraded into Deluxe Awan. It was sooooo spacious room, quiet with the beautiful rice field scenery form our balcony. The room completed with semi traditional bathroom within big bathup which can be fitted by two adults, clean towels, and romantic lighting in bed room. I love the bed within mosquito net or kelambu, it was so romantic for us..

This hotel have afternoon tea and breakfast for each day. The set menu was so delicious and huge..:)
We are so lucky ever visit and stay in this hotel. It was so romantic and unforgettable getaway for me and hubby... Thank you Mbak Siwi and friends.. till we meet again ^_^
