Top place to stay. People great. Some distance to Ubud but regular free van into town made it easy. Great honeymoon cake. Pool was fun

We stayed on the recommendation of friends and after checking the TA reviews. The place was fantastic, from the wonderful welcome from the staff, including our welcome notice with our names on our compound doors, through to the excellent space of our villa. We stayed in a garden villa, very spacious room with ample bathrooms indoor and out, plus a cool plunge pool and more. We ate at the site restaurant a few times, for b'fast and dinner and enjoyed all our meals. This place is very quiet, restful and serene. Would recommend to other gay couples for it fantastic value, well presented property and relaxing environment. Compared with other similarly equiped properties, this one is by far the best value.
We had a funny situation where our booking didn't specifiy we were a gay couple, and realised why the staff were running around frantically when we arrived. They were reprinting our compound door greeting from Mr & Mrs to Mr & Mr! They diverted our attention and replaced the welcome note efficiently and without any hint of their effort. Good work guys! That's the effort the team here put into making your stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible. We will definitely be back.

We booked through an agent who messed things up...the hotel was (almost?) full, but they helped us very well, and even got us an upgrade (which we declined, the original room which we could get in at the end was nice enough, so no extra needed).
The service is friendly, quick, and very attentive and effective.
Room service very pleasant, and the food nice - mant great breakfast options brought to your villa.
Nice shower (one inside, one outside), nice outside bath, nice bed...the view from your bed into the lush garden: WOW!
The outside bed in the beautiful private garden: WOW!
Nice plunge pool.
So quiet, in the middle of the green nature, blue skies, pond with fish, your nicely furnished villa with a luxureous but very natural feel.
Private villa here is really private. You live in nature for a few days. Pure bliss!

our stay was memorable and the team at the ubud village resort were totally amazing and very accomodating in reaching our needs, for example, wedding preparation and laundry of the wedding outfit. The villa itself is very spacious and green, you feel like in the middle of jungle with 5 star amenities in the room. The private pool is lovely with two gazebos and dining pavilion. My only criticism would be consistency of the meal service at the breakfast. its a bit slow sometime. I would score this resort 100% however despite this very small criticism, we wholly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to friends. The team at ubud village resort should be congratulated for the excellent service they have delivered and always with smile

My husband and i recently spent 4 days at Ubud Village Resort and Spa. As frequent travellers to Asia, we have come to expect nice hotels and excellent service but this resort was just gorgeous. it ticked all the boxes for archtecture, setting, space, beauty, romance, peace, privacy, valiue, and attentive service. It was heavenly.
Our palatial Garden Villa oozed classical Balinese old-world charm. We had a huge 4-poster bed; a private pool with oudoor shaded pavillion ; indoor and outdoor showers; an outdoor bath; a dining table for in-villa dining, tropical gardens, fish ponds and serenity, all in a private walled compound.
Ours was one of only 25 similar villas dotted around 11 acres of picture-perfect lawns, lotus ponds, rice paddies and palm trees. With full occupancy of only 60 and such spacious grounds its no wonder that at times we felt like we were the only guests there.

The beautiful Angkul-Angkul restaurant overlooks the gardens, the neighbouring rice fields and a stunning u-shaped pool. Large pavillions at the front of the restaurant beckon you to while away the afternoon with a cocktail, a good book or simply a snooze. Another cafe above the pool hosts an afternoon tea of traditional Balinese sweets and snacks( free for guests).
Yoga classes which are held in the open- air meditation area beside the pool are enhanced by the peaceful ambience of the surroundings.
I can recommend the wonderful aromatherapy massage (and the herbal tea of fresh ginger, pandanus and lemongrass) at the Kama Karanna Spa.
It's just a short shuttle ride ( free) into central Ubud to enjoy the town's attractions. The resort also organises some good treks for visitors.
Ubud Village Resort must be one of the most beautiful resorts on Bali.So quiet and peaceful. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a relaxing holiday without the crowds. We will definitely be back again. ( check out the video on You Tube!)

We visited Bali for just 4 days and wanted to visit the Cultural and Arts center instead of the beach. The Villas were great. Very private setting with private pool in each Villa. Once per hour van to town works well although you may not want to leave since the grounds are so beautiful. The pictures on the website don't do it full justice as the surrounding rice paddies are wonderful. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Finally, we hired a wonderful driver for our stay: Made Adi Suasta; adisuasta.imade@yahoo.com whom I strongly recommend.
