“Fabulous relaxing hotel in beautiful surroundings”
Reviewed 5 April 2014 via mobile

We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights ,5 in a premier pool villa and 3 nights in a valley view room , very different accommodation and we loved both rooms and the amazing back to nature view!!
I cannot say enough about the brilliant staff at Komaneka, always smiling and more than happy to assist with anything ,they always addressed us by our names which was a lovely personal touch,
Even though the hotel is a little distance from the centre of Ubud , it didn't matter as the shuttle service to and from was excellent , they even came one night and picked us up from a restaurant !
To sum up ,a fabulous hotel , lovely rooms and dining areas,a must if you want a great relaxing holiday in paradise !!
We are planning to re visit again in October !

We had the Premiere One-bedroom Valley Pool Villa, which was was luxurious, large and had jungle views. Our pool was fantastic and really private. Great for a skinny dip beneath the stars... The staff were really helpful and friendly, the food good and the massage great. Only thing wrong was having to leave at the end of our stay! Would love to return...

Room Tip: We had the best room: Premiere One-bedroom Valley Pool Villa. Very quiet, spacious, jungle views and...

A beautiful resort up in the hills of Ubud. The complex (not large) is nicely designed with 2 infinity pools available. The dining area overlooks a pool and the rain forest. Super attentive staff took care of our every needs. Individual "rooms" have individual patio areas where we could have breakfast with exterior doors for privacy. Inside and outside showers.

Our king size bed was nicely decorated with rose petals. The only things I could deduct points off were: 1) We could hear people walking in the unit above us (very slight) and 2) Apple TV wasn't working (for movies), but we were more interested in following the news on the Malaysian Airline story anyway.

Bottomline: Make sure you spend at least a day in the resort doing "nothing" and just relax. Book your massages early. We were too late to book one during our trip. A cooking class is also available there.

Room Tip: Rooms are designed so that every unit have their own separate entry. I doubt there is a bad room in...

I had secretly organised my partner to have a 2 hour massage in the spa while the team at Komaneka set our private villa up for the red light special dinner. Wow. It really was special. From the walkway in with tea light candles and frangipanis leading to the pool filled with an amazing assorted of pink and red petals. The meals were fantastic.
Really high praise goes to Dewa and Rudy for making our stay unforgettable. I had proposed to my long term girlfriend during the special dinner. Dewa had secretly organised us to get a beautiful table by the river at Bridges. When desert came out it had a personal message of congratulations for us!
Rudy just added that extra mile for us. While he and my partner were talking of their love for Vegemite he told us that the resort did not have any. But when breakfast was delivered. Rudy on his day off dropped some vegemite sachets off to one of his friends to personally deliver it to her.
Also we loved the cookies. They are everywhere! In the cars, your room, by the pool!
Thank you so much for making it an unforgettable experience for us in Bali!

As you will have noticed, this property has a huge number of excellent reviews and I am glad to say that they are all true!

Stayed in a Valley Pool Villa which was lovely and very quiet and private. The plunge infinity pool was very welcome after being out and about in the heat.

The whole resort is expertly managed by Amin and his staff and their pride in 'ownership' really shows. I am pretty sure that the staff manning the restaurant actually advises housekeeping that you are having breakfast, so they can go in make up the room .. it's like magic .... but of course it isn't and this kind of attention to the smallest of details makes this resort truly notable.

Others have noted that the hotel is outside of the centre of Ubud and this is true but there is a free shuttle to the town centre about once an hour. That said, we found Ubud Market had little appeal to us and ended up renting a car and driver through the hotel, at US$ 15 per hour. There are much better places to visit and shop away from Ubud centre.

Although it was a very long trip for us (23 hours flying) we will be back to Bali again sometime soon and this is where we will stay.

It was my 1st time to visit Bali and l must say staying in Komaneka at Tanggayuda made me fall in love with Bali , me and my wife booked a pool villa for our honeymoon and we find every thing we dreamed of, privacy , luxury and comfort, the food was great with amazing view if you chose to have it in the restaurant, every one knows our name even the food menu had our names on it as its title, the staff was great smile to us all the time even the maintenance guys stop working when pass beside them and greet us with smile, even their drivers are great tour guides, and when we left they even gave my wife a present that made her so grateful, I can say that all our coming anniversaries must be in that same magical place.

Room Tip: I stayed at villa 101 which was the best I think

The service is amazingly warm and considerate! All staff knew our names and helped us plan everyday's agenda and book restaurants. The room is not luxurious but very authentic and comfortable. We felt so great here that when we transferred to Karma Kandara for the last 3 nights, we felt like returning there.
