Mandapa is not a classic hotel nor is it a resort, it is a stellar tiny village! The hotel itself is truly amazing. You basically live in a small village next to the Ayung River. It is beautifully set, brandnew but it fits totally to the scenery. Food is amazing, the star of the village is Chef Maurizio, an amazing guy and great Chef. Friendly, funny, loves his job and cooks the most delicious meals.
We had smaller issues at the Mandapa but managed to clear them with the management hence it would be unfair to rate them lower because of that but the truth is that communication between hotel and guest could be improved.
The SPA is superb, the massages with Raki were spectacular. The Butler service is good. The small kids club is cool as they have rabbits, a cow and chickens. While the hotel has "only" villas and rooms it is very large.
The Swimmingpool is amazing.
We stayed there with our 4 kids and there were quit some families there hence no issue to be loud at the pool.
We loved the food at the Swimmingpool especially the Mandapa Rolls :-)
We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa - the largest in the village - which was truly too big....but these are luxury problems.
This is a stunning place, we will return, it is beautiful!!!More
