A bit out of the place from centre of nagoya.. No free transportation provided
The room is surprising big, shower is great. Room service is fast and good
Despite that the place is fully air conditional, people still smoke

For your information, we have daily free shutlle service to Nagoya Hill Super Blok and Batam City Square Shopping Mall schedule for drop at 1.30PM and pick up at 4.30PM. Both shopping malls are famous in Batam with complete range offer of lifestyle products and cuisine with reasonable prices compare to Singapore. This free service provided for all of our in house guests (advance reservation is required) for them to enjoy and explore hotel amenities surrounding.

And we hope you are notice that our restaurant and lobby lounge have non smoking and smoking areas for people to choose to suit their needs.

It is always encouraging for us to learn that our guests are satisfied with our services as it is what we strive for everyday. Your kind words have been passed on to our teams. This will certainly motivate them to keep up the good .

I booked this hotel via the internet and upon check-in i was told to wait for 30minutes despite my advance reservations online.
My online request was not picked up and i have to inform the front desk for 2 non-smoking room, which could be identified based on my reservations.
My room had a stench, furnitures are in a bad shape, there is no broadband connection ( selection checked during online reservation), toilet is not well maintenance ( loose shower head), hinges at door decayed, water boiler provided is 2-pin but there is no 2-pin socket to be found, etc..

Please rest assured that more training will be given to our receptionist and reservation staff to be more attentive in handling reservation and check in procedures, also room maintenance will have special attention and priority to ensure proper accomodation for all the rooms.

This hotel is far from beach, restaurants, shopping center, etc. Only place you can eat is hotel restaurant which is expensive. One will hire a car to go for food, beach, shopping, spa, night life etc.

Room quality was found satisfactory with no problem with basic amenities and other facilities.

Breakfast was very lavish and good.

It was nightlife adventure tour for us. We also have local friend as guide so we don't have to face difficulty in exploring the place. But most traveler have to explore the place to find suitable place to eat or spa or night life place.

Batam has nothing other than cheap night life. I will not recommend anyone to visit Batam as tourist place. The beach of Batam is dirty and water is black and smelly.

There is good water sports place beside Harris resort.

Tips: In case you are travelling to Batam and wants to have better experience then stay at beach resort or Harris resort.

Situated at the 'city" area, its a distance away from the beach rather inaccessible. yet its not really city area as it is still in batam. Not much food options other than hotel only restaurant. Hotel guests could walk a distance there are roadside store along the road but only attempt to try the local food if you have strong stomach. There is also KFC and pizza hut which is 5 mins walk away but that's all. Though hotel guests could take a cab around S$5 to batam city mall where there are more options there, the ride is only 5mins away. The shopping centre is average, cheaper than singapore's apparels and bags but design is so-so. The most disappointing of all of the hotel is that there is not much facilities and activities to do around there. The swimming pool is only 0.4 m to 1m deep. But the room is generally clean just that the bathtub is not very appealing with the cracks and blackstains and the whole water supply in the hotel was cut off for a while.

For your information refurnishing bath tubs project still continue for all of our rooms and will complete entirely approximately by the end of this year.

We've added one more booster pump to improve our hot water supply to the rooms on September 20, that is why we sent notification to all rooms that during this project water supply will temporarily cut for a while.

TERRIBLE HOTEL. FLUSH COULD NOT FLUSH. SHOWER IS CRAP. YOU CAN HEAR YOUR NEIGHBOURS ABOVE SHOWER AND FLUSH. AIRCON IS NOISY! OMG. NEVER AGAIN! Because it is for a night and we got to to hotel quite late, I decided to just forget about changing rooms cos' its not worth the hassle and than woke up terribly early to go out of the hotel!

Bought this deal over Groupon at $68 per pax. Thought it was really a cheap bargain but of course with that comes lowered expectations but it was a total disappointment. PT Best Tour is a total scam. Brought us to touristy shopping places where tour guides get to earn commission. Stopped at sight seeing places like for 10 - 15 mins and did not even allow photo opportunity as time was far too short. I guess it's cos they do not get to earn commission there. Massage was terrible. Located opposite Factory Outlet. Do not bother going there. That 1 hr was a pure torture. Masseuse was just doing it for the sake of doing it. It was terrible!

The only good thing that came out of the trip was seafood lunch. Golden Prawn Batam. Nice and acceptable food.

Harris Resort is THE PLACE to go when you are at Batam. Was there couple of years back. Will be back there again. Never will I stay in MERCURE ever again. And do not book PT BEST TOUR AND TRAVEL. Just go around the places on your own with the hotel shuttle. or if not just lazed and relax at Harris. Plenty of things to do there.

It is with sincere regret that we note your dissatisfaction with our facilities.

We will check again all toilet flush, shower and AC to ensure they are working well and in order. Also definitely we will re-train all housekeeping staffs to immediately report if any maintenance needed in the rooms and to remind our engineering for preventive maintenance program.

Please rest assured that appropriate action has been taken with our room attendants and housekeeping supervisor, to ensure this mistake does not happen again

Concerning PT Best Tour we are only have the contract room rate with them and not involve in their package tour.
