We had booked a room which they called "Cottage" with Sea view for 3 nights there. Arranged for the ferry tickets and arranged for the transfer from the Ferry Terminal in Bintan to the Resort which costs SGD$25.00 per way. The traveling time was about 1 hour 10 minutes to the Resort.
Upon reaching the Resort as it was raining, the car was only able to drive till about 30m before the resort lobby or rather reception area, so we had to wait for umbrellas to be brought over. Paid the balance payment for the rooms, which costs SGD$50.00 per night inclusive of breakfast. Breakfast is served ala carte. The Resort has a small restaurant that caters for the breakfast and lunch & dinner. The nearest town in Kawau, and is about 30 minutes by car, there are no eating places nearby. You have to practically eat at the resort, this wasn't an issue if there were more varieties to choose from the menu that the restaurant offered. We paid for a two way transport from the resort to eat at a nearby town, which was SGD$20.00. There are three small coffee & instant noodles hut nearby about 10 minutes’ walk, but like I said, they only served instant noodles, coffee/tea and young coconuts. When we ordered a few items at the restaurant, just four dishes, it took them almost over an hour, and we were the only ones there eating.
The cleanliness and the hygiene of the room is really bad as I was bitten by bed bugs, so was my son & my wife as well. You can see by the pictures of the bed bug bites on my legs. Every time we ate at the restaurant, the table was full of flies even though the food had not been served yet. This is a resort only meant for the locals.
