Spent a week at Bobocha resort and thoroughly enjoyed it. The delicious food served under the beautiful tree in front of the resort, looking on to the crystal clear water is a treat. The snorkelling just in front of the resort is the best you can find on the little island of Siladen. The cottages are well done and comfortable. The owner is hands on, not only in her resort but also in the community on the island. I would thoroughly recommend this resort if you are looking to be spoilt by delicious food and home cooked meals on a remote island with plenty of snorkelling and diving!

If you're looking for a small and quiet place, tasty fresh and healthy food, excellent snorkling right in front of your cabin and a lovely owner who cares about the environment and has perfect tips for exploring Minahasa, Bobocha is the place to be. We stayed a lot longer than we intended!

Siladen is the place if you want idyllic isolation. A small island you can walk around in an hour. Snorkelling just offshore is great, but don't expect internet reliability. Home cooked meals eaten al fresco looking out on the beach. Small place with simple facilities but adequate. New owner is onsite and always helpful. She comes from the area and is doing some great community work to keep the island clean and green.

Room Tip: I stayed here for a few days in the upstairs room at the back. Great flow-through AC when you open t...

We had the most incredible holiday in a simple way-the-world-should-be paradise. It was like a private beach-house with a fantastic cook. Nothing is fresher for dinner than fish straight out of the sea... even more exciting when you have been beside the boat catching it, surrounded by dolphins. Our first breakfast with our toes in the sand we watched a whale play and the surprises kept on coming. The vibrant coral is at your feet with the most unimaginable sea creatures passing by. We were off for adventures around the little islands on the cutest little private boat, assisted by very reassuring divers, whenever we liked. Everything was at our leisure and our pleasure!! Do I wish I was there now...

Room Tip: they are all lovely in a traditional Indonesian style - request if you want air-con
