The present Sultan only visits occasionally. Not over touristy. It felt very calm inside, despite the heat. No air con here, unlike in the nearby Mosque. But, really enjoyable experience.

Just contact them and they will help you to arrange the place or venue and in the night you will have 'royal malay' dinner with all of your friends .. enjoy be the king and queen of Royal Maimoon Palace.

I would considered the palace to be a spot of history in the middle of the busy city. Its somehow still preserves some of the olden age of Medan in the palace. Nothing much to do in there but, if you are a history and old architecture lover this might be a good spot for you. They even have a some photo shot with royal traditional dresses and accessories. You can try them on and you can find some good souvenirs there too.

The Palace of Sultan Deli was amazingly beautiful. With the bright yellow color dominance on the wall made it awesome background for photos.
The entrance fee was almost nothing compared to the excitement of visiting the palace. For the best look photo shooting, I recommend visitors to try to wear the traditional outfit of North Sumatera.

However, only one room can be explored by the public because the rest of the rooms are currently occupied by the Sultan Family.

A beautiful palace, built in 1888, that radiates an atmosphere of colonial days gone by. It is a gem in the city.
