“Nice place in the suburbs”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2014

This charming hotel is located slightly north of the main area of Padang, tucked away in a leafy suburb. There is a nice on-site restaurant with reasonable prices and good food. The hotel staff couldn't have been friendlier or nicer, and were a great help in arranging transportation to several surrounding areas.
The rooms were clean and reasonably spacious, with a/c, tv, kettle, and complimentary coffee (packets) and tea (bags). We had a nice sitting area outside of the room where we had breakfast most of the time.
All in all a very clean, classy, and friendly place! The manager, Mr. Febri, is a kind, efficient host who is very attentive and helpful. I have no hesitation recommending this hotel.
cheers!

Room Tip: although the hotel is slightly north of the "action", a taxi into town will definitely not...

I booked the place based on recommendations that I read here but unfortunately I was not so impressed.
I was travelling with my mother and aunt and booked a suite as a treat for them! The suite was nice but because of the size of the room, the aircon was not really able to cool the room! And in Padang, aircon is really needed! The room also didn't really have an external window which made it quite dark. I hate to complain about wifi but the wifi didn't work in the suite itself.
The staff were very friendly and the food in restaurant was very good (breakfast was not included).
Overall it is a nice hotel and I think I was perhaps just a bit unlucky with the room given to me.

I recently stayed in this small establishment which has a pleasant seaside resort feel to it. Although the staff had limited English, the service was polite and efficient. They did however struggle to provide a little more information about the area than the very basic. The deluxe room I stayed in was of good size, very comfortable and clean. Two minus points for me however were the occasionally patchy broadband connection (which was probably not the hotel's fault) and very weak shower water pressure. Otherwise, the location at the edge of town is good and the food served at the adjacent restaurant is amazingly cheap and delicious. Highly recommended.

We booked into Diniya Suasson for 2 nights and ended up staying 4 nights. We booked a Deluxe room which was great, the bed is the most comfortable we have stayed in in 30 days of travelling through Indonesia, A/C, good wi-fi connection, western toilet, very clean and comfortable. The grounds are lovely - set in very nice gardens all extremely clean and tidy, there is a pool which needed a good clean, however it is for the use of guests staying in the Suite Room, I'm sure if you asked you could use it. Some of the hotel buildings are very, very nice and the hotel is in a lovely, leafy area of Padang. The staff are wonderful, so friendly and helpful, some have a small amount of English but we managed to communicate well. They have a great sense of humour and we shared many laughs with them. The hotel manager, Febri needs a special mention - he was wonderful! His English is excellent and took us around in the hotel car on sight seeing trips 2 days in a row for reasonable price. We visited sights in Padang such as Pantai Padang, fish market, the museum which is very good and gives you a good overview of Minangkabou culture. We also visited Solok in the hills - an agricultural city in the hills, very pretty, lots of Rumah Gadang (big house), the traditional Minangkabou homes. Febri also took us to meet some members of his family which was such a bonus - a very kind and generous man!! Made our stay an absolute delight.

The hotel has a restaurant for guests next door. The food is a mix of local makan Padang (Padang food), Indonesian food such as Nasi Goreng and some western food like lasagne - we ate mostly makan Padang which was excellent and cheap prices average $16,000IDR including drinks. They do have Bintang beer on the menu but often it is not in stock, however if you ask nicely the staff will go out and get it for you for a small additional cost! Breakfast was included in our room rate and comes from the restaurant.

An excellent property - the best we have stayed in in Indo. Would not hesitate recommending or returning to this property.

Room Tip: There are lots of Mosquitos in Padang and you do need to check your room, however a can of insect sp...

Found this little hotel through friend's recommendation who recently visited Padang. Booked the superior room for $50 a night for a full week, which turned out to be a money well spent.
The room was huge compared to typical "superior" standard, with more than enough amenities available. The service was impeccable and very personalized since looking at the room numbers they probably only catered to a small number of guests, although at times the staffs are quite slow in delivering my requests. Another major plus was the amazing food served during breakfasts, which apparently catered from the restaurant located next to the hotel, and itself was an excellent place for dinner to sample the local cuisines. I would totally recommend this place instead of spending money staying in big chain hotels with standard services.

Room Tip: If you can afford AU$ 200 a night, try asking for the "suite" room, which appeared to be i...

its surprising me when last Monday, during my bussinness trip to hot and humid city like padang, i have found such hidden place that i can feel relax.

For a reasonable price you can get a private room within in a good walking distance of City.

The rooms are amazingly decorated, if you like the more interesting designs.Very interesting rooms are individually decorated, however services are very good.
