We were sorry to leave this beautiful hotel with very attentive staff, great Internet connection (those who travel to Bali would appreciate that!), tasty breakfast, and gorgeous grounds.

The pool is nice and the view is wonderful. Excellent assistance with airlines, shuttle to the airport, and information. They organized our Komodo tour - two days on a boat. Thank you!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top floor for better views.

The Service at Bintang Flores was good. It is a few minutes out of town and the free shuttle was very handy to pick up and drop off in town.

The pool and grounds of the hotel are very nice. Great for an afternoon of relaxing and a few drinks. Shame the same can't really be said about the rooms. The rooms have a balcony leading to nothing, Tiny CRT TV and average bathroom however the beds were quite comfortable.

Breakfast was OK.

You can't really swim at the beach is very polluted and kind of swampy. There were locals burning of rubbish right near the pool / beach area which wasn't the prettiest site. Also had locals walking up and down the hotel shoreline trying to sell things which was very annoying as staying in a nicer establishment I would expect this not to happen.

Overall this may be one of Labuan Bajo's better resorts but don't expect this to be equal to other 4 stars you have stayed in around the world.

I was pleasantly surprised by Bintang Flores Hotel. First of all our flight to Flores was cancelled and we couldn't get another flight until the next day which meant we had to cut our stay short by one night. The hotel was very understanding and did not charge us for the night we were unable to make it even though it was very short notice.

Despite requesting a room on the highest floor to take in the views we were given a room just over the restaurant, just off the reception area which I thought might be very noisy but it was ok in the end because it meant we didn’t have far to go to the pool, breakfast etc and it wasn’t noisy at all. All rooms have big double windows that open up like doors looking out over the lovely gardens and ocean.

We did go up in the glass fronted lift for the fun of it though and checked out the lovely view from the top.

Our room was large enough with a king size bed which was a bit saggy but we were only staying two nights so we could put up with it. The bathroom was a bit cramped but everything worked ok so I’m not complaining. I think we paid around $AUS 63 per night so I thought it was good value.

Our rate included breakfast and although the offerings were limited what was there was excellent and yummy. The best, most tastiest scrambled eggs I have had since I was a kid on the farm.

The pool area is the best part of this hotel though. Right on the beach although the water is very muddy right there due to a river nearby that pours silt into the area which gets washed by the tides towards Labuan Bajo. So no swimming, but the sand area in front of the hotel is kept clean.

My only complaint here was the lounge by the pool chairs which were modern sort of ones and they were damn uncomfortable. But then I guess most are not here to laze by the pool.

It’s all a bout the diving here, the resort itself has a dive centre and every second shop in town is diving, komodo trips, snorkelling etc.

Labuan Bajo itself is under going radical development but it is still rather wild west like. Returning to Bali after here was like going back to the most sophisticated place on earth. But we were still able to find some very pleasant restaurants with great views and nice cold Bintangs.

Bintang Flores is only about a 5 minute drive from town, or at least it would be if there wasn’t a crazy one system the Indonesians are so fond of. One has to go up the hill around the back of the town to get into it. If you walk out on to the road from the hotel entrance it won’t be long before someone stops on their motor scooter and offers you a lift into town for a price, usually a couple of dollars. Or possibly a tuk tuk like bus will stop, a dollar or more extra.

The staff here are mostly from Bali from what I can gather and the ones we spoke to had good English skills. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and it was fine.

Although there was nothing wrong with this hotel, next time I would probably stay somewhere in town but that is just my own personal preference. This was just a bit too out of the way for me.

We stayed just one night at the Bintang Flores. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We did have problems with one of the air conditioning units which stopped working and then dripped water into a suitcase below, but the hotel maintenance sorted the problem. The laundry costs were very high. The supper and breakfast were both fine. The beach at the end of the hotel was absolutely filthy.

The hotel beach is very good with view of small island and face to sunset.
With the service and cleanliness like this, i would come back to stay there,
even the location a little bit far from labuan bajo main beach, but still our small boat could pick up directly from beach hotel

The property is overall small with average rooms, though the staff is friendly and helpful. But given that LabuanBajo is itself a small place and mainly a halting location for trips to Komodo Island, this is perhaps among the best you can get in this town. This area can turn to be a little difficult if you are a vegetarian. However, the hotel staff took special care for our vegetarian needs which was a huge help. Also, they provide pick-ups from the airport as most other good hotels in LabuanBajo do. Overall, good property for a short stay enroute to Komodo Islands.

This is possibly one of best hotels in Labuanbajo. We were in LBJ for a few days primarily to visit Komodo islands. The hotel has a free pick up and drop from/to airport. That's needed given that it's a bit far off from LBJ town center. They do help you out with booking and getting a good rate for boat trip to Komodo and Rinca island. Spread of food is limited but food is good. Hotel staff are very helpful. Hotel lawns open out on to the sea - so you can amble along beach in mornings/evenings.

Only drawback may be that its a bit far from town center.
