“Laid back and rustic”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

All three Gili Islands are so chilled and laid back with lots of great little bars all along the water. The snorkelling is amazing and we even saw large turtles swimming around.
A must do if you are staying in Lombok as it's a short boat ride over.

“Gilli Meno: quiet and laid-back”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

This is a really fine island, with a lot of accommodations for all budgets. The beach on some parts of the island is fine sand, while in other parts the beach is composed of broken corral pieces, which is not very comfortable. There is good snorkelling from the beach just a bit south of the jetty where many fishes and turtles can be seen. A good place to relax.

“Gili Meno is SOOO laid back!”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

It is wonderful to stay somewhere in Indonesia where your senses are not assaulted by the constant buzz or roar of scooters or motorbikes... all you will hear is the soothing clip-clop of horses hooves!

“Escape to Gili Tangkong, Gili Nanggu, Gili Sundak and Gili Kedis”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

Escaping from the crowds; Gili Tangkong, Gili Nanggu, Gili Sundak and Gili Kedis are the best option! A peacefull island in the south-west of Lombok . Although the location is quite remote, you can find good accommodation, restaurants and snorkeling / diving services. Contact Heri +6281283277122 for more information

The best way to get there is by rented motorbike / car from Mataram. It takes about 2 hours from Mataram. After passing the Lembar port where many large ships lean, you will arrive at the village of Tawun, Sekotong Barat. There is a small pier with fishing boats lean. There you will meet Heri. Experienced as a dive guide in Bali, he is a nice person and speak English quite well.

It needs 20 minutes sea crossing by fisherman boat to Gili Nanggu. Gili Nanggu has nice cottages built in traditional architecture of Sasak (native tribe of Lombok). You will love spend a night or two there.

Put you mask and snorkel on and jump into the water! You will see many many small to medium fishes swimming around the coral reefs, though the visibility is so-so . Explore the whole island is a must !

Crossing to Gili Sundak , you can enjoy grilled fish, the legendary 'Plecing Kangkung', and coconut at an affordable price.

If you are good at swimming and enjoy a challenge, try do fins swimming crossing from Gili Sundak to Gili Kedis. Ask the boat crew to monitor while you are swimming for your safety.

“Must Go To Indonesian Destination”
Reviewed 26 May 2014

The three Gili Islands are just awesome. Amazing settings, great beaches, diving, views, restaurants, hotels, villas and homestays for all budgets and no motor vehicles. Add in warm seas and beautiful weather and it is probably the best beach destination in Indonesia
