“Best fish restaurant in north of Israel”
Reviewed 12 December 2012

Excellent dishes. The menu changes over time, to new excellent choices. The location is also pretty, so the trip there is worth the effort. Service is friendly, and they have a tasting menu option that enables you (if your party is not too small) to experience much more that had you ordered per person.

“Fish Lovers Paradise!”
Reviewed 11 December 2012

Uri Buri (pronounced Oooie-Booie) is a fish-lovers paradise! This quaint little restaurant is tucked inside the old city of Akko (Acre). In the day the view from across the street is amazing. The restaurant specializes in fish dishes of all types! His recipes make them unique and delicious. He even has a cookbook featuring his most famous items!

We had the "taste" menu; they serve small portions of random stuff which were great especially the nigiri with wasabi sorbet

“The Food and Namesake are Pure Gems!”
Reviewed 29 November 2012

While we were touring Acre, we had just heard about the bus bombing in Tel Aviv. Needless to say, we were somewhat shaken. But we kept our 13:00 reservation at Uri Buri which turned out to be an awesome experience that brought back all the good for which Israel and its people stand. Mr. Buri is a wise, experienced and magnificent chef. He gave up the option of letting him serve us what he thought was best. None of us had allergies or food aversions, so why not? It was a sensational feast of seafoods with more courses that we could count as the parade of mouthwatering dishes continued for nearly 3 hours. We also enjoy the fine Israeli wines that Mr. Buri recommended - one of which was a rare grape and I'll be searching high and low for here in the US. This is a very special restaurant whose namesake, Uri Buri, makes it a dining experience like no other.
