I recently stayed at the Akkotel with my family, and we enjoyed it overall. The Akkotel has a great location in the Old City. The Old City itself is much more run down than I expected, but the crusader ruins are impressive and the central souk is fun to walk around, so we thought it was definitely worth a visit. The staff at the Akkotel is really nice, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We had a family room, with twin beds in the loft, which my twin girls loved. Breakfast is good. The sound insulation between the rooms isn't great, so if you're a light sleeper and have a noisy neighbor, this can be an issue. But overall we enjoyed the Akkotel very much.

Room Tip: Family rooms with loft are very nice.

We arrived late in Akko and weren't sure we could find a place to stay. Fortunately we found the Akkotel in the old city. The location is wonderful. It's nearby the Crusader sites. In fact, the very top floor of the hotel is at the top of the fortified wall. Be sure to go up there for a great view. The rooms were nice. It was interesting how the hotel incorporated the old walls (behind glass so you can see them) into the hotel's structure. The breakfast downstairs was splendid with all sorts of choices. Parking was free and just outside the hotel.

The owner welcome us to the hotel and show us in person the room. Everything was authentic end clean. It felt like being in a movie.
We got an upgrade for free. Service was perfect. Breakfast served in a simple but elegant buffet. The location is excellence just next to the old city in a quite corner.
Value for money is very high. Perfect for couples

The staff is very welcoming, you get special treatment when the hotel owner sends you to some restaurants.
the room is clean and authentic. Breakfast is fresh and there is lots of it.
The old city is small and the hotel is at the corner of the wall. so the location is wonderful.
The stay in that hotel made perfect sense as the hotel fits the spirit of the old city .
And on top if that, the hotel is not expensive at all.
I will definitely come back!

Right on the eastern wall of the old city the Akkotel is just what you need for visiting Acre/Akko.
10 minute stroll from the train station and lots of restaurants on your doorstep.
Well done conversion of an historical building creates the right setting for a visit to Acre.
Acre is a magical place largely missed by the vast majority of tourists. A shame for them but great for those who make the trip.
Excellent breakfast at the hotel sets you up well for the day.

This cosy hotel ha a perfect location. We came for the "Akko Theatre Festival" and staying at Akkotel were located just in the middle of all the performances, with no need to travel to and from Acre everyday. The hotel is clean, the manager's hospitality is very warm. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Came to Akko for work. Stayed for two nights first, room was super clean, small though but then I realized this is just how hotel rooms are like in Israel. The service was excellent, staff nice and helpful. The breakfast it's good, we were offered diff choices of food, coffee strong but it is the way they drink it here. It was delicious. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
