“Unique Bedouin Desert Oasis”
Reviewed 14 January 2014

Our group spent one very memorable night here during our trip to Israel. It was great fun having a bonfire, sleeping in a tent, and having a bit of a "Bedouin experience." Riding the camels is very uncomfortable, but most of the group enjoyed it. The food exceeded our expectations, and the breakfast buffet was surprisingly large. I would definitely recommend it and happily go again.

Room Tip: There was a nicer tent area, with more privacy, and very comfortable mattresses.

We had a wonderful time at Kfar Hanokdim, a fun place for a "Bedouin" experience. The camel ride was fun (except we were paired with a loud family), dinner was amazing, and the grounds and room were great. I would definitely come back here (already my second visit) but I have one recommendation - guests should be made aware that there is no front desk and that it can be difficult to get a hold of staff at certain times of the day. We needed to take a taxi out of the kfar, but it took us about an hour to find someone on staff able to call a taxi for us (eventually we found Ahmed, when he returned from his camel trek). Still, despite that one stressful event, I highly recommend the Kfar and look forward to visiting in the future... But this time we will go by rental!

Wow. I've been searching for such a place for a long time.
Very relaxed village, all built by hand by the locals. You can choose to stay in a tent, hut or room.
We took the room, but would probably go with the hut next time.
The place is very clean, full of different areas which each is unique by its own,
Highly recommended for families, couples or solo if you want time off in the desert.

The camel ride we experienced when we arrived was a test of endurance, but fun. We enjoyed our briefing on Bedouin culture by our host, but the highlight was the general ambience of this desert camp. The camel & goat's hair tents were beautifully designed and a novel experience in themselves. It was hard to sleep, as our stay coincided with a rowdy bar mitzvah party. At least, we experienced a sample of the fun these youngsters were obviously having. I loved being out under the desert sky & seeing all the donkeys.

HaNokdim is a most appropriate location for spending a night(s) close to Massada, a World Heritage site, when planning to ascend by the ramp on the western side of the mountain.
Bedouin hospitality is what makes HaNokdim so special. Breakfast? Not to be missed.
