Very nice atmosphere, cozy, clean and quiet studio, very good breakfast, a nice garden. A perfect place to stay if you wish to see the Masada fortress. I really felt like at home. Very good value for money.

This is small hotel on the edge of Arad. Calm and cosy setting. From the nice terrace you can see desert, road to Masada, and couple of ortodox families houses. The breakfast was very good, room very comfy and clean, coffee/tea , kitchenette. The staff lady and her son were very nice and helpfull, answered our questions and explained us everything in detail.

The couple running the hotel were friendly, kind even. Family feel especially during (the very tasty) breakfast.

The rooms were superb. Totally spotless and extremely comfortable. Shower room was immaculate also.

Ample free parking outside.

However it was right on the edge of town so if you were not driving you'd be a bit stuck as there is nothing to do nearby.

But if you're staying in Arad or nearby and drive don't even bother looking elsewhere!

This was such a great place to stay. Not luxury, but simple and very clean, everything you need for a short break. Moshe, the host, couldn't have been kinder. Ideal for Masada trips as only 20 mins drive from western approach. Moshe had breakfast ready for us when we got back.

Lovely flower gardens and plenty of private patio spaces. Owner Moshe is very nice and helpful and serves a good breakfast. Room is clean and pleasant with a private bathroom and shared living room and kitchen. Downside is the location--residential area high on a hill--nothing within walking distance to ATMs, shopping, buses, resteraunts. Driver who was to take me to Masada before dawn never showed up. Moshe arranged for another cab but too late for the sunrise hike. Extra cab fare to shop for basic supplies like milk, water, fruit, snacks and a microwavable dinner. At $119 USD per night this was an expensive place to stay, even with the quiet atmosphere and kind Moshe.

We stayed 2 nights here so we could see Masada and we were very pleased with our choice. The location is in a residential area so it was nice and quiet and the owner was more than helpful when it came to finding restaurants and ATMs. The breakfast is great and the whole place is very clean. We really enjoyed our stay.

If you are intending to visit the site of Masada for a full day this hotel is closer to the west entrace (a walk up the Roman ramp) which actually works out better. We walked up the ramp in the morning, took the cable car to the visitor's center and eating area at noon, took the cable car back up after lunch, and then walked down later that day. If you drive all the way to the east entrance you will not have as much flexibility with time. You will have to walk up a much steeper and longer path or take the cable car. Once up at the site eating is not allowed so once you go back down you will probably not want to go back up - this limits your visit to half a day.
