“BEST PLACE FOR SHOWS”
Reviewed 28 November 2013

Besides its history and be a very beautifull place just in front of the sea, it is a magic place for music shows. It has a magic. It is one of the most interesting place I have seen a show.

“Not-To-Be Missed Roman Restoration”
Reviewed 20 November 2013

This ancient city of Caesarea is a must on a trip to Israel. Short of Rome, this site has been the best restoration of Roman efforts I have seen, far surpassing Italica in Spain.

It dates from about 300 BCE and then by Herod who ruled from 37-4 BCE. It covers some 400 acres and was for a time the largest fortified city in the country. Extensive excavations began in the early 1960s.

The grounds contain a large performing arts amphitheatre, a hippodrome for chariot racing which could seat 30,000, as well as an aqueduct, a harbour, synagogue, palace, bathhouse and significant real estate on the grounds.

“A wonderful place to spend a relaxed time”
Reviewed 18 November 2013

We came expecting just ruins, but discovered that a small beautiful restaurant and shopping area was here. Rather than purchase the more expensive ruins ticket, we purchased a cheaper ticket to the restaurants which allowed us to enjoy the beautiful views and our meal in this ancient area on the Mediterranean. We enjoyed our time here very much; a most welcome and pleasant surprise.

“Segway-the best way to enjoy the area”
Reviewed 16 November 2013 via mobile

Using SEGS company with the experienced Zvika Golan tourguide, we enjoyed a 2hours trip in Cesaria, starting from the golf club, going through the neighborhood to the seashore and the old aqueduct with the beautiful white sand dunes. It was exhilarating to travel with the segway and to experience those gorgeous sights in a perfect weather and intelligent guidence. Highly recommended!!!

“One of Israel's best concert venues”
Reviewed 11 November 2013

Say what you will about the ancient Romans, but they sure knew how to build a good amphitheater. There isn't a bad seat in the house. No obstructed views and great acoustics. International and Israeli musicians occasionally play shows here during the warmer months, so it's worth keeping an eye on local event listings to see what performances are coming up.
