This is a moderate hotel. No amenities but the people could not be nicer. The room was clean and quite. There is wifi access only in the lobby and sometimes reception was not great. An easy walk to a town center with shops and restaurants. Then just a little further to beach, about 20 minutes total. There is a bus in the town center to visit the marina which was great for sitting, having a drink or meal, and watching the sunset.

Room Tip: There is wifi in the lobby only.

This hotel is terrible.
On the first night they put me in a dirty freezing cold room, which was 90 USD a night, the room was not worth 50 USD a night, after a heated exchange with Shoshi Yellinek, they moved me to another dirty room with no heating. This so called front office manager is not suited for the job, to build relations with customers, she and the hotel just like to screw customers over.
Eventually they moved me to a so called upgraded room, but in this hotel there is no bar and there are no tea and coffee facilities in any of the rooms.
So one night I came back and I could not even make a drink, miss Yellinek reluctantly gave me tea and coffee and a kettle after speaking to her again.
Breakfast was a disgrace, they have this mentality at the tadmor, that f there are no guests, then they can cut breakfast to the bare minimum and expect guests still to pay full price, what I mean, I got a pesach plate, with a bit of cheese, tomatoe, ect, just like first night of pesach, and oily omelette, very poor, only on Shabbat did they have the most poorest of buffets for breakfast, because they had more people.
Tell me, when you fly British airways, united, ElAL, or stay at Hilton, ramada, best western, basil, they might choose a smaller plane, but both hotels and airlines will not, especially hotels cut breakfast to nothing, last year I had a better breakfast in a hostel in France.
Over all very poor and staff and management don't care.
And this is israels hotel school

Shocking but true. The rooms are old, dirty, and very poorly maintained. The breakfast is plenty, but infested with cockroaches, especially if you arrive to the breakfast room as one of the first guests in the morning. The staff seems unmotivated.
Since hotel staffs of many hotels in Israel begin their training / careers at this hotel, In order to secure the best possible future hotel staffs in Israel, the big 4 and 5 star hotel chains of Israel should make a joint effort (venture) to completely core the building and to renovate the Tadmor into a 5 star hotel. They should also get a Swiss trained hotel / school general manager to run it for them. They should however, leave the building structure as it is, because the Tadmor is a landmark of Israel. It would be a shame just to tear it down.
With good will and extensive renovation work, this hotel has the potential of becoming one of the most charming hotels in Israel.
I give the hotel 3 stars in value for money because the overwhelming majority of the hotels in Israel are relatively poor value for money (too expensive).

I stayed here with my wife and son 1st week of September, having stayed here myself in February. As usual all the staff were polite and very friendly, all in all great hospitality. The food is very good, as attached to the hotel is a cookery training centre. Selection of food for breakfast is great and the wonderful attentive service from Maurice who is always obliging to the guests - nothing is too much trouble. The only downside is that generally no food is available for lunch or dinner, and particularly for Friday night. The reception staff suggest a local retirement home "7 Stars" for dining on Friday night for a reasonable charge, and booking by Friday morning is recommended. At present the swimming pool is not in operation, but the surrounding grounds are pleasant for outdoor relaxation. The beach is about 10 minutes walk from the hotel along Basel Street.
There are good local eateries, pizzerias, and coffee shops within a 5 minute walk to the central square, where a Bank Leumi is located with ATM's and also a Bureau de Change, a grocery store, chemist, and a hairdresser/beauty salon.

The rooms were adequate, as we spent most of the time out. A refurbishment of this hotel is planned in the very near future. I rate this a 2 star by UK standards.

Room Tip: Best rooms are at the rear of the hotel with a view to the sea. All valuables should be deposited w...

Hi to you all,
I stayed at this hotel for three weeks because I had some problems to solve in Israel. I chose it because it was cheap ( by Israeli standards, not by European Standards), having to stay for so long. It is dirty, smelly, the staff is rude, noisy and with no respect for the customers. Everything is dirty, dirty, dirty. The vegetables and fruits you get at breakfast are not washed ( oranges are FULL of dust and dirt and you are supposed to make juice of it!) The juicer is half a century old and half a century dirty ! Breakfast is KOSER and on Saturday you won't get any coffee or oranges or scrambled eggs ( the only hot thing on breakfast anyway). The kitchen manager is very dirty and he often recycles food: he takes it from the table of the people that have already eaten and are gone and is so kind as to bring it to your table as a gesture of hospitality. :( Do not accept it! Actually all food is recycled every morning, you get the one you had the day or days before until there is no more and they have to bring some new one.
The forks, plates and glasses are also very dirty and it takes some time until you find clean ones. Everything is sticky!
The carpets and the bathrooms are full or stains and they smell awfull. Internet you will only find in the hotel lobby, although they say that the signal is very good in your room when you check in ( you will find all guests in the lobby with their laptops as they only have one access point). They give you " Do not disturb" signs only if you ask them at the reception and the cleaning ( if it can be said like this) takes it from your door so you have to ask it back from the reception. If you get blocked in the elevator, the reception will tell you that there is nothing they can do ( after you finally get out of there by yourself),, you have to wait and see what happens ( maybe something happens without anyone doing anything!) Occasionally you will find bugs, in your bed or in the hotel lobby.. who cares anyway?
The pool is old and tiny, not new and shiny like they describe it and they keep it closed probably because it is so difficult to take care of it! You actually have to do something! Move for example.. :))
Except for one receptionist, the only normal and nice lady over there, they are all either stupid or very stupid. And of course dirty so to fit in: their hair, their clothes have not seen water lately! ( I am not exaggerating!)
It is probably like this because the hotel is cheap for Israeli standards: a room in Herzylia is above 200 dollars so they probably think they are doing you an offer! The big surprise is that they have a hospitality school so they will preach dirtiness to as many young professionals as they can!
If you can, don't go there! It is a two stars hotel the most!

Room Tip: Ask for another one when they give you your room! First floor seems a bit cleaner.

I stayed in this hotel for 1 week in early February 2012. Contrary to the reviews I read beforehand, I found this hotel adequate and clean, with a very good Israeli style breakfast selection available from 7:00 to 10:00 daily, including fresh oranges to make your own drink, cranberries, apricots and fresh figs, various egg dishes.
I was on a business trip, so most of the time I was out and about. I found my room clean and tidy, although this, including the bathroom, and the hotel in general, could do with a good facelift. As it was cool at night when I entered the room, I used the air conditioning on HEAT setting and it worked very well. For extra comfort, additional blankets and pillows are supplied in each room.
Also the staff were helpful and friendly at all times. As a frequent business traveller I would rate this hotel as **Star by UK standards.

Room Tip: For security, I recommend you use the hotel safe facilities for valuables, i.e electronic items or m...

The only reason this hotel is still in existence is because various governments use it for cheap lodging for their "employees". It should be condemmed...Russian employees are cussing at each other in the lobby while Muslim guests are having a family reunion in a dark corner of the same lobby. Don't ask for anything before 7 am or after 4pm.. toiletries or coffee because you won't get it from the hotel. You get what you pay for. I wish I had a side arm with me.
