We stayed at this new hotel in Herzliya since our friends stayed there and we wanted to stay with them. This time we came with our children and we thought that it will be a good idea. Well … we tried to find a seat near the pool – nothing… it was to small to have all the guests… we wanted to walk to the sea front but it was to far away. Rooms are nice but a small swimming pool? why?

Brand new hotel located at the Marina, right above the shopping mall. Warm welcome, quick check in and personal explanation of the room features. Great service in the lobby bar (they went down to the shopping mall to get me some cigars), generous breakfast. Nice swimming pool on the roof top. The beach is within 5 minutes walking, the business area of Herzliya is 5 minutes by car.

Because the hotel was almost with no guests - they gave out a special deal and we decided to stay at this new hotel. Well... This hotel is in the middle of a huge mall with tons of people coming and going – the noise is incredible , children shouting and definitely no relaxation.
It took us very long time to find the way from the underground parking to the entrance of the hotel and when we told this to the reception employee he did not show any empathy .
The hotel is new and nice (small pool…) but why in the middle of a large mall – maybe the biggest mall in Israel… we made a mistake choosing this hotel only because of a special deal.

Room Tip: Rooms are noise try to ask for quieter room - with no noise from the mall

While the hotel looked very nice with big airy rooms furnished with style it lacked one major point expected from bed and breakfast to this 5 star hotel - room cleaning was so poor that you wandered if they knew what cleaning means.
I was on a business trip to this hotel and after 3 reminders 2 to the reception, one directly to the cleaning persons none of it made my room clean. the cleaning mainly affected the bathroom and the balcony. the stains were visible on all glass walls and the sink - once that are easy to remove but nobody did it. i could observe strange spots on the mirror, Heavy layer of dust could be observed behind the bath. as for the terrace no one bothered to clean the gift left by birds and those nice glass barriers were so dirty that the vision through became somewhat blurry. For me the cleaning is the basic and this hotel definitely lacked those most basic notions. If the visible part of the room aren't clean you start wondering how do they handle the cleaning of all the things you cannot see, such as food, laundry...

Room Tip: ask for clean room ;)

This trip we decided to go to Herzliya. My husband and had stayed at this hotel for a few days during July. The hotel could be amazing but the noise was bad and the cleanliness was so so (I guess we just had bad cleaning staff.
Would rather pay less and maybe get much more/

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Very modern and elegant public rooms, well designed and with a good ambience. Check in was efficient and courteous. I was escorted to my room, which was very light and airy. All rooms seemed to have a large balcony area which faced the sea or the marina or both, with a comfy sunlounger. I had a good view back towards Tel Aviv and of the little marina that has been built in Herzliya. The room itself was well appointed, with tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was excellent, there was plenty of wardrobe space and good desk space to work. The hotel had a rooftop pool which was lovely, though they are extremely strict about when they close it - I think it was at 5 or 6pm ON THE DOT, which seemed a bit much. It was still lovely and sunny and people still clearly wanted a swim, especially those that had been working all day. The hotel has a good selection of cafés and restaurants around it, also built as part of the marina. They offered a good range of food and cafe opportunities. There were also a few shops there. The beach was a few minutes walk away. Again, there were a selection of beach bars and cafés to choose from. This is a public beach, but is well tended, with some artificially created bays for swimming, though I would think it can get quite rough. It felt reasonably safe (I was on my own, just walking and paddling) though I would not leave anything around whilst swimming or paddling. Take everything with you at all times. For the fitness conscious, as well as the hotel gym, there was good space for running both around the marina and also on the beach, again safe and scenic. Food in the hotel itself was perfectly fine - breakfast was good, the bartender was cheery and coffees in the little seating areas were well presented and arrived quickly. Sometimes, chains like Ritz-Carlton have difficulty maintaining the brand ethos and standards in remoter or difficult locations, and sometimes Israel and "5star service" don't go well together. But this relatively new hotel has done a nice job, still with a few edges to smooth over, but definitely a comfortable, stylish and fun place to stay. Of course, it is not in central Tel Aviv, though we didn't find that a problem and hotel cars and taxis were easily arranged. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the ocean. Some rooms also have quite a long walk from reception
