“Wonderful location, mediocre service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2014

Close to the Yafo port, at the footsteps of Old City, Casa Nova can charge money for the view only. But while you're waiting for your order, magnificent panorama of the Tel Aviv seafront may become boring. Service is painfully slow, no matter if the place is overcrowded or nearly empty. It takes enormous amount of time to get a menu, a meal, a drink, and (especially) an additional drink. Regarding food: I ordered chicken and vegetables (see photo), and my friend opted for grilled fish. The fish was probably not a masterpiece but large, beautiful and very much edible, and my dish was not so large but beautiful and salty. Maybe their chef is in love - there's no other reason to put so much salt into a small skewer. Waiters were friendly but elusive. And the view... well, it's the best thing in Casa Nova. Everything else is worse.

“Very bad food and service”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 November 2013

Its a beutiful place. But food was very bad. We ordered a seviche and actually got a lot of greens no fish or shrimps. We then wanted some main dishes, we got all of them at different time. One of my friends got her Salmon 45 minutes after all of us. When we spoke with the manager, they offered more food instead of canceling the dish. Not recommended

“Misleading View”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 November 2013

This place is well located at the water front of Jaffa with a nice view to the coast of Tel Aviv, so we were tempted to select it for my wife's Birthday.

Unfortunately the nice location has nothing to do with the food which is terrible:
- The seafood palate was buried in burned oil
- The bass fish was over cooked, tasteless and small
- Both the Cherry and the Salary salads were a strange mix of ingredients
There was nothing worth to eat there except the home bread which was OK.

Poor choice, especially in Tel Aviv, where you can dine in many excellent restaurants

“Good restaurant, small meals”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2013

The restaurant serves not simple food, I would say. The meals are trying to be something gourme and not to successful, it's an expensive restaurant that serves little meals. The beef that they served looked funny! A small piece of beef, to salty and not very tasty. The architecture is something interesting, there are tall chairs inside and in the bathroom, instead of music it teaches you spanish! It is a very average restaurant and I would say too expensive.

“Oasis for lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2013 via mobile

After walking around in the heat of mid-day, we chose the Terrace at Casa Nova for lunch. It was perfect - best view in Jaffa, if not the whole of Tel Aviv, sea breeze that kept us comfortable, good beer, and light food (starter course is perfect for lunch). Unlike a previous reviewer, the cherry tomato salad was very nice, fresh ripe tomatoes. We also enjoyed the bread and dips, and chicken skewers with sweet potato.
