I stayed there on a trip with my husband to the Holly Land. It was the perfect location. The staff were very helpful. Wonderful views from the terrace. The room was lovely, clean and a quiet place. I love the breakfast. I will definitely go back if I visit The Holy Land.

Nothing fancy here--no tv, simple meals, basic room. But it is immaculately clean in a wonderful location with nice people. You can walk to all the major sites in the old city. Why did you come to Nazareth anyway?

Reviewers who call this lodging "spartan" miss the point. The Sisters of Nazareth is perfect for those on a religious pilgrimage. Of course there is no TV, no bar and a curfew. Instead, you get a nice room, ideal location, beautiful courtyard, panoramic views from a rooftop veranda and wonderful family-style meals. Compared to similar lodgings in Rome, I rate it excellent. For example, they have elevators - and wifi for two bucks per day. Everything you need and nothing you don't.

Stayed there with a group in March 2012. A large Convent & Hostel for Visitors to the Holy Land built around a courtyard in that pale Jerusalem stone that looks so good. Centrally-located opposite the Basilica. One wing had been refurbished to modern hotel appearance. Our room, in another wing hadn`t, but, although it looked a bit older, it was perfectly clean, warm and fit for purpose. A bit spartan (eg: no TV) but we were out sightseeing so much, we didn`t need more. Buffet breakfast. Evening meals were a pasta course followed by meat & veg with salad, followed by an orange. Home-made, fresh & tasty.. You could buy wine. The courtyard was a good-looking place to lounge. The 3rd floor roof had a panoramic view of the town. Below ground were the remains of a Crusader church, below that were the remains of a Byzantine church, below that was a 2,000 year old burial cave complete with rolling stone - one of the oldest & most authentic sights we saw on our holiday. The Sisters and staff were friendly. 10.30pm curfew.

Room Tip: Ask for refurbished rooms, high up for a good view.

Stayed in three rooms in July 2011. Fantastic experience. Very convenient. Arrived very late and a Sister waited up for us. We still bought a couple bottles of wine, quietly sat outside, watching the stars, and the wonderful nighttime hillside view of Nazareth. This was a great, unexpected treat. The rooms are perfectly spartan. Very, very clean. If you want indulgence, well, why go to Israel or Nazareth? But you will not sacrifice or suffer one bit. Great price, perfect for the family. Safe, clean, and pleasant. We thought we wanted to stay at a Kibbutz, but no offense, this was a completely great unexpected treat.

Very clean and centrally located!

Dinner food was good. Cook staff very nice. Breakfast was boiled eggs and bread, instant coffee.

Beds and Pillows had plastic sheeting under the fabric..so these were not comfortable and made noise as you tried to sleep!

Rooms facing outside street received a great amount of noise in the mornings and late night time.

Room Service Daily..staff was nice and friendly.

Room Tip: Find room away from street noise.

The air conditioning was the first relief for our group. Great service and very nice and helpful front desk. The rooms are comfortable and very clean but very basic ( nothing on the walls). Beautiful terrace above church that looks over city. Very peaceful and definitely recommended!
