i stayed at the hotel for about two weeks, for business.. the hotel offered all the requirements for maing me feel so comfortable and delighted !
great service, fast responses, and kind behavior from the staff.
the rooms were cleaned every day, the size is medium, maybe above medium..
i personally would deffenatly go back to this hotel again for any kind of stay, and would deffenatly recommend it for friends!
musical events were held twice a week, a combination of western and eastern compositions, an experience of a middle eastern stay, that i will always remember, and that was delieved properly and interestingly :)

I spent two nights in this hotel, all this time accompanied by cigarette butts left by my predecessors in the balcony. Nobody picked them up during the two days I was there.

Rude and untrained personnel in the restaurant. One waiter, having already asked which room I am in when I entered the restaurant, came to my table two more times while I was eating, without appologising asking me over and over again the same thing: which group I belong to, what room I am in, questions he could very well asked for the first time I reported to him. Nice food though.

Why would they close the swimming pool of a hotel in Nazareth in May at 5 p.m.? Well, hard to believe.

WE were thrilled when we got to the Golden Crown. It is a modern hotel with large clean rooms and a great breakfast buffet. We had some preplanned activities and didn't notice that there was nothing near by. Some people in our group opted to stay at the hotel and they said they found nothing nearby to walk to. There is free internet if you bring your computer and use it in the lobby.

We stayed in the Golden Crown for the weekend and I admit that the reviews scared us a bit. The hotel is not at all bad as it seems. Upon arrival we were welcomed with tasty local sweets and orange juice. After a quick check in we got our rooms which were spacious and comfortable, not as new but still nice and clean. Beds are large but not too comfortable. The hotel is fully refurbished and looks new, there is a large pool but unfortunately was closed . The public areas as the lobby etc. are impressive.
The breakfast was tasty with good variety of food choices. The reception staff was very helpful and patient to all of our annoying questions and requests. Overall that hotel was a very nice experience, wouldn't get scared cause of the previous reviews.

Stayed here in Dec '08 and Mar '09. Large welcoming lobby area bar with an excellent view of the valley. Good breakfast spread. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The place feels safe and welcoming.
Rooms are barely average. Beds are OK. Showers work but are crammed. Sparse furnishings and decoration, but the balconies in every upper floor room add positive ambience.
Pool looks nice, but didn't use it, so no opinion.
The 4:30am call to prayers can disturb sleep.
Recommended for those who want a place to rest up and get a good start to the day.

The Nazareth Golden Crown was absolutely filthy. The carpets were old, musty, smelly, dirty and stained. When we walked through the hallways, there were carcasses of dead waterbugs. The manager informed us that they had bombed the place a few days earlier. I can not believe that they exposed us to those fumes. It takes at least a week or two after a bombing for the toxic fumes to dissipate. One member of the tour group had a terrible time with his allergies. There was also cat poop in the hallway from some stray cats that were roaming the hallways. I saw bloodstains on one of the lampshades. I did not complain
because I did not want to be changed to a room that was more filthy.

The elevators were not working so we walked to the back of the building to take the service elevator. The inside of the hotel (the part that the staff used) was absolutely filthy and disgusting.
The elevator, floors and doors were covered with dirt, grime and sludge that had not been cleaned in decades.

However, the breakfast and dinner buffets were really good. There was a great view of the valley from our room and balcony.

We planned a pleasant family vacation at the Golden Crown. The first impression of the hotel was very good, but all the rest was very bad; the room with old and broken furniture, stained carpet and the bathroom smelled very bad, fridge not working.

The swimming pool was closed for the day, although it was mid-summar vacaction and a very hot day. We were told that the pool will be closed also on the next day due to a private party. The snack bar closed as well.

We decided to go to the SPA and the gym, but guess what, both closed...We then sat in the lobby (where the airconditioner barely worked) and waited for the single waiter who was there, but he ignored us. The other staff not much better, they wouldn't even raise their heads when talking to us, and never tried to help.

We were very disappointed, and on the next morning we checked-out and cancelled the rest of the vacation.
