Attraction details
Owner description: The Alexander River is one of the most important and beautiful rivers in the Sharon region. Before it spills into the sea, near the Beit Yanai beach, the river is encompassed by a vast park with an abundance of nature and landscape views, eucalyptus groves, picnic areas, and remnants of past human activity. The declared Beit Yanai beach offers lifeguard services, open spaces, shaded areas for bathers, a bathroom and shower area, as well as a camping site and restaurants. For details on accommodation options, caravan parking, entrance to the beach/campgrounds and lifeguard hours, please visit our website.

I have so often run or ridden my bicycle along the river.
Tranquil, on the level, plenty to see.
At the bottom is the white wide open beach which is an absolute pleasure.

This park is so very well organized and accessible, weather by foot or bicycle.
You may choose to park your car in any number of places along this trail and walk/ride west bound all the way to the beach or east bound along the banks, stoping on route to enjoy the giant Sea Turtles that have made the birdge area (named properly "the Turtle Bridge") their home.
If you get the time and energy - you can follow the trail by bicycle all the way to easr, past underneath Highway 4 and continue in to the well market trails that takes you to agricultural area.
You cannot go wrong with this park!

The Yannai Beach is unquestionably one of Israel’s prettiest beaches and the Alexander Stream is unquestionably one of Israel’s prettiest streams. We parked our car in the main parking lot of the Yannai Beach National Park (nomimal fee), and the first thing we did was to walk to the left (south) for about 50 meters up onto a small rocky mound that the Israel Trail passes over. From on top, one gets a good view of the beach all the way to Michmoret to the north and Netanya to the south. We then followed the Israel Trail along the beach with all the tents of the overnight campers to our right and the wind-surfers floating over the waves and in the air to our left. So very pretty. After one kilometer the Israel turns right (east) and begins a two kilometer, shady, pastoral journey along the Alexander Stream - passing river docks, huge eucalyptus trees, and an old Turkish inn on top of a hill with a great view of the surrounding area - until arriving at the Tel Aviv–Haifa railroad tracks. Here the Israel Trail turns left and is a good place to turn back like I did when I hiked this with my daughter (hot day). However, when I did this hike with my wife on one occasion and with my grown son on another occasion, we turned right and continued on for another kilometer following a dirt road back to the Alexander Stream, turned left and followed the river until we came to the famous Turtle Bridge (4 kilometers from the beginning). There are two options at this point. Cross the bridge (recommended) and visit Turtle Park or turn left onto a beautiful tree-lined promenade which follows the north bank of the Stream for several kilometers to Kibbutz Maabarot. This option can be done after visiting Turtle Park or on a return visit to the area. Cross the bridge, look to the left, and down on the right embankment and you’ll see huge soft-shelled turtles climbing up onto the rocks, huge catfish swimming up to the surface, ducks, geese, and otters (swamp rats) all swimming around. A living natural zoo of animals. For those with 2 cars, one can be parked here. Otherwise, it’s 4 kilometers back to where your car is parked at the Yannai Beach parking lot. Once back at the parking lot, you can enjoy Fish n’ Chips and a beer (recommended) at the Yannai Beach Restaurant located right there on the beach. It’s a great way to end a wonderful hike. This very pretty, very enjoyable 8 kilometer hike is one of the best hikes in all of Central Israel!

This is a review of the Beit (Bet) Yanai Beach located adjacent to the Alexander Stream National Park. It look like the beach is part of the National Park but the Park Passes are not valid for the beach - pay by the hour when we were there in August - NIS 24 for about 2 hours. It is a very nice sandy beach with a lifeguard, toilets, showers, changing rooms and a small café - plus some swings and fort for kids. There was a camp site also.
It was not as busy as other beaches with nice waves and water and the comfort of a life guard. Parking was right next to the beach. Access was right off Highway 2 at the Yonay Interchange.
Liked it and will be back.

Nice to place to visit, a lot of flowers, river and some fishes.. There is an old (very) old building giving you the sensation that you did a discovery. Picnic possibility. Search a crowded place for your car (if you need it back). No Police around so you are alone with the nature.
