As soon as we arrived we received a warm welcome, hotel was very clean and modern. We definitely felt in a relaxed vacation. Next to the quiet hotel there is a lively city with lots to see. I also recommend eating breakfast in front of the beach, we can't wait to come back again :)

Service is a disaster. Rooms cleaned at 16h30 after asking 4 times, or 8h45
In the morning the cleaning lady tells you in 15 minutes i am back or i will not clean.
No pool as advertised, and needs a renovation.
There is no reception you need to go to the hotel next door that belongs t o same group. There the person is alone and we waited 30 minutes. Very disappointing

Room Tip: Ask for sea view

There is not a lot of choice for decent places to stay in Netanya, this is about as good as it gets.

Location is great, close to the center and beach, with a wonderful view of the beach and sea from our room and a big kids play area next door. Small parking lot where we parked our rental car. Staff is wonderful. Free Internet at the reception area. Rooms are spacious apartments with living room, kitchen and separate bedroom. Very comfortable and quiet. Airco was silent too. Nice flatscreen TV in living room, but old TV in bedroom.

Only negative was the thunderstorm our first night. We were on the 5th floor and thought it wouldn't affect us. However, the windows in the living room were not rainproof. At one point the rain poured in excessively, flooding the living room floor. We had to stuff the window with our towels to prevent the flood of water. They did clean everything up the next morning.

I have stayed at a few hotels in Netanya, and this was the first time I stayed at this hotel which is not more than a 3 star hotel and no pool as advertised. Very basic and in need of a total make over, However the position of the hotel just a few meters from the park and elevator down to the beach and the fantastic view are worth staying here. There is a choice of eating a buffet breakfast at the next door Residence hotel, in the cellar, or eating a good Israeli breakfast outdoors with a view of the sea at the Residence Beach, which was very enjoyable with friendly staff who made me feel welcome every day.
There is free wifi in the room which not even the top class hotels can offer.

The first thing you notice when you step inside the lobby is the tired 1970's decor. It was bustling and busy when we arrived, it seemed that most of the people staying there were native Israelis and some Russian nationals. Because they had overbooked rooms at the Residence Hotel where we were supposed to stay, they bumped us up to the "Presidential Suite" in their sister hotel next door, the Residence Beach hotel. Beware that parking is extremely limited in their small lot and we lucked out that despite the fact that we arrived after 10:30 pm we were able to snag a spot just as another vehicle drove away. We left the car there during our entire stay for fear that we would lose it and not be able to find another one.

The suite consisted of two bedrooms with a living area, kitchen and two bathrooms. The furniture was well-worn and the suite reminded me of an old timeshare in need of a makeover. Having said that, it was fine for us since we did not spend much time in the room. It had two private patios -- one looking out over the Mediterranean and the other out to the eastern residential area. I was very happy to see that we could watch Fox News and several other English/American channels on the cable programming, but then it seems that most hotels in Israel have that and as American tourists, we really appreciated having those.

If you can get cheap rates for this hotel, I would say go for it, but don't expect too much in the way of luxurious furnishings. it has the basics that you need but is definitely no-frills.

The location was great -- right on the beach just about and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. We paid $198 for the room, so because they bumped us up, we got our money's worth. I think that if we would have gotten the regular "Superior" room we had reserved, it would not have been worth the money. The service was average, not great, but not bad either. The woman at the front desk was very sweet to me but turned to the guest standing next to me who was interrupting trying to ask a question and she snapped at him, so perhaps there is a little bit of inconsistency with the front desk staff.

The breakfast was really pretty good - it was all kosher dairy but there was a very good selection. Better breakfast than the ones we had at a much more expensive hotel in Jerusalem. The man standing at the front asking for people's room numbers wanting to come in was very nice and friendly. He very warmly beckoned us in to eat and we liked that.

My husband, son and I stayed here for 4 nights in June 2010. There are 2 properties owned by the same group – the hotel and the small apartments. We rented a one bedroom studio apartment with a full sea view – imagine our surprise when we arrived and they had upgraded us to a one bedroom apartment with full sea view just because “they had room and thought with our one year old son we could use a bigger place” – how thoughtful. And what a blessing it was!! I would highly recommend the one bedroom for a family with a small child because it allowed us to put out son to sleep in the crib and then hang out in the living room and look at the AMAZING view. The bathroom was very large for Israel and had a full size bath which was awesome. As for location – this hotel was AMAZING!! Right, and I mean Right, above the boardwalk and just a few feet to the elevator to go down to the beach (or the stairs). There is also a small playground for kids as well as on-site (though limited) parking. The breakfast was typical Israeli fare – a bit smaller than some hotels but the view, location and value definitely make up for it. The hotel is a 10min walk to the bustling center of town with ample restaurants, shops, and a few street fairs, not to mention great Schwarma! We would definitely stay here again!!
