If you are merely looking for an inexpensive hotel with a nice swimming pool located close to the beach, but with minimally acceptable accommodations; then this place is adequate. Otherwise, you will be probably be disappointed.
We stayed for 5 nights in room 612 in June 2013, at an internet rate of $90 US per night. The location is good if you like staying in a quiet neighborhood close to the beach, and within long walking distance (15-20 minutes) from the restaurants and shops of Netanya's bustling main square. The large swimming pool was the best part of our stay.
The room was spacious, with a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean. The buffet breakfast (included in the rate) had a decent selection, but nothing special.
The negatives: hotel seem stuck in a time warp from the 70s, concrete cracking; really needs refurbishment; rooms still use metal keys. Staff: a mixed bag, some were nice, others seemed indifferent. The room: furniture aged, needs replacement; lots of dirt between floor tiles, and in the folds of the chair; cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired.
We were really bothered by the total lack of security: room doors have no peephole, no chain, no deadbolt. Could someone have easily barged in on us??? Then, the room safe didn't work; this was quickly repaired; however when we were about to check out, the safe went dead again, and we couldn't open to empty it. Fortunately, we were not in a rush to leave; a repairman came soon and easily opened it; scary.
