“Nice location buts need renovation”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 November 2013

The King Solomon Hotel is located just off the Mediterrean Sea in Netanya with a great view. But the hotel desperately needs to be updated. The lobby is small and outdated and the rooms are rundown. The furniture and floors in the rooms have been beat up and need to be replaced soon. The front desk staff was not very helpful when asking questions but the wait staff in the dining room was better. The food was average but nothing to brag about. This hotel is fine for a 1 night stay but i would not want to stay there much longer.

Our one week stay at the King Solomon hotel was made a wonderful experience by such a friendly and helpful staff. From the Manager, Mr Rafi Hanich, to the room service staff, they couldn't do more to make our stay a pleasant experience. This hotel gives a 5 star service for a 3-4 star rating. Clean, fantastic breakfast and Friday night dinner and Shabbat lunch.
Thank you all. See you again soon

For us like many others the King Solomon Hotel was simply an overnight stay at the beginning of a tour of Israel and for this it was fine.
The rooms are very small but they had everything we needed plus a great view over the Mediterranean and a small balcony where I often found myself standing just taking in the beauty of the location. The rooms and hallways are well overdue to be renovated but I was glad to be staying there rather than the Seasons Hotel which is up the road. We had stayed at the Seasons in 2012 and couldn't wait to leave.
The pool area at the King Solomon looked nice and the Gym looked as if you could have a reasonable workout but unfortunately I didn't get to use these facilities as they both closed very early in the evening and didn't open again until late morning. It seemed very strange to us but we found it to be similar in several other hotels in Israel.
The food which was included in our tour was nice and there was a very nice foyer area to sit read or catch up with friends.
The beach, town square and some very nice restaurants are just a few minutes stroll down the road from the hotel and this is where we spent most of the evening.
If I'm ever to return to Netanya I would be happy to stay another night or two at the King Solomon but for longer stays in the area I would be looking for something a little newer.

Anyone looking for a top class boutique hotel should not go here BUT for the traveller looking for a clean, comfortable hotel with a good location and a magnificent view of the Med, this is the ideal place.
Set on the top of a cliff, leading down to the sea shore, vistas from this hotel are breathtaking.
It is in easy reach of the sea, the city of Netanya and the pedestrian promenade.
Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. Linen and towels were fresh and white. Food was tasty and there was a wide selection.
The hotel staff were pleasant and very helpful.
This hotel definitely merits a second and even a third visit.

The King Solomon Hotel in Netanya is in an excellent location with a spectacular view of the blue Mediterranean sea from your own room and balcony. The hotel staff are very nice and helpful. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the centre of town with its bustling cafes and restaurants.

we were a very last minute booking and the h0tel was full for the second of the nights that we wanted to stay but the manager Raphael bent over backwords and gave us a room for two nights but we did have to check out at ten am...this suited us as we had to be on our way.
rooms are small beds narrow bathroom small and the bath is only for the athletic otherwise use the shower
food good and fairly priced
this hotel is famous for the i night groups that come from all over the world
overall a nice pleasent fairly priced hotel..all rooms overlook the sea and have a small balcony
very central near the square

Room Tip: low floor as the lift can take ages

Hotel is just few minutes walk down to the Mediterrean sea. The sea view is fantastic and beautiful. You can see beautiful sunset too. People are swimming and you can even do wind surfing there. Shops are considered nearby too.
