We booked 3 nights in this guesthouse since our nearby apartment (only 1 Km away) went over some repairs.
Stayed in the upper apartment which included a miniature kitchen and a spare room (this apartment cost was around 100$) .

The apartment was clean and at first look seemed quite nice however for us the main problem was revealed at 06:00 AM:
There are many windows in it without any shutters so we were woken up very early in the morning since there was light like in the middle of the day.
Another problem was the small kitchen which didn’t actually allow us to cook.

For people who want to visit in Tel Aviv and Jaffa – be aware that the guesthouse is located in Ramat Gan so public bus takes about 30 min.

We paid for three nights but returned to our apartment after two.

I stayed at the Dekel guesthouse in Ramat Gan in June. It was very fortunate for me to find the guesthouse as I had been urgently looking for an accomodation in the Ramat Gan area.

Rina was a wonderful host and ensured that I could have everything in order to make my stay easy and confortable (I had no previous experience living in Israel, so she helped me a lot !).

I was staying in the one person bedroom, which was fully furnished and with a TV and its own bathroom. The room was simple but pleasant, and very clean. The whole guesthouse is very clean and it definitely made me appreciate my stay in Israel. I strongly recommend it to anyone looking to live in Ramat Gan, the more "peaceful" side of Tel Aviv. :)

We are 2 adults + 3 kids and had to look for temporary housing in mid summer...
Dekel guest house came as a perfect solution for us. It was affordable, much better than any hotel, a clean sweet perfectly equipped and excellent service.
Rina, the owner did all she could, no request went unmet.
She made our stay at a very sensitive period for our family, calmed and relaxed as possible.

Many thanks,
Gilit & Micha
We highly recommend the Dekel guest house!

At 300 NIS a night, my fiancee and I stayed at Dekel Guesthouse for two nights. We recommend it. The place is run by a French-Israeli named Rina. She is friendly, candid, and speaks decent English. Contact her directly to not pay any booking fees and to ensure she knows you are coming. We almost had a bad experience because of a website. In sum, the guest house is an excellent choice for lodging under USD 100 when you are touring Israel by rental car.

Location

The Guest house is located in the suburb of Ramat Gan. It is a 15 minute drive (via urban streets) to Jaffa or downtown Tel Aviv. Google Maps can help you locate it but remember their Latin spelling is not always the same as the Latinization on the street signs themselves. As for parking, she told us to park our rental car on the side streets. We never had trouble finding parking, nor did we get a ticket.

Room

There are two rooms. We stayed in the Chinese room, which is about the size of a garage. The guesthouse was clean and it had an en suite bathroom containing a non-separated shower next to the toilet and sink. You have to press a button to heat the water a good 10 minutes before taking a hot shower.

The bed is a full and comfortable. There is a small TV that receives a handful of Hebrew, English, French, and Russian channels. There is also a small kitchen. The accommodation is basic but not spartan. Actually, the entire room is tastefully appointed in Chinese style, including vases and impressive embroidery.

However, we could not figure out the heating (it was very cool in the evening of early April). I think we just lacked patience with the system. Upon our request, Rina gladly gave us another blanket.

The guesthouse is safe and secure and lies in Rina's backyard. Outside the room is a beautiful pond with fish as well as a small garden.

Conclusion

The quality of accommodation for the price is incredible. Provided you have a rental car, the Dekel Guesthose is truly a gem.
