“The best hotel in Galilee”
Reviewed 21 May 2014

I use Hotel Mitzpe Hayamim for my work few times a year, for more then 10 years and always I feel home.

It is true that not all the staff knows perfect English but they will do the best they can, yes it is an old hotel but this is the charm of the place, yes sometimes you have bugs in the room but this what I'm expecting being so close to the nature, yes the coffee is not the best but they have excellent vegetarian food.

When I travel to the Galilee, and I have the budget for it, I always choose Mizpe Hayamim

Room Tip: Sorry, I do not want to reveal this secret of mine. Check with the hotel the great verities of room...

The best thing about this hotel is location and food. It is more of a hotel thrown together with what ever furniture they find. It is old and the rooms are fair in condition. No one speaks English well and there is not customer service in the states this would be a three star. The star looks right through you.

Save your money

Room Tip: There are no good rooms

Half way bteween Rosh Pina and Zefat, a pearl on the hillside, this Tuscan-like retreat offers a relaxed, adernaline-free getaway from Israel's hectic life. After an Abianga massage treatment in the excellent spa you can walk in the farm among goats and hens before dinner at the fancy Muscat restaurant. Evenings entertainment is mostly new age bla-bla but nobody really cares after a bottle of wine.
Rooms are furnished with eclectic unsophisticated charm and maintenance needs improvement but somehow the magic is working. If it was not so expensive we would get back here more often.

Room Tip: Suites 701 & 702, very spacious but very expensive

The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. Especially Liad from costumer relations who welcomed us and escorted us to our room explaining everything we need to know. They were very kind to surprise us with an upgrade to our room! Breakfast and dinner were also very good and rich, offering a large variety of courses made mainly by self-grown products. It was nice to find out that electrical devices (including cell phones) are prohibited in all public areas. Area pool was a bit disappointing as we expected it to be more romantic although the outdoor hut tub has a great view of the surroundings.

Room Tip: We have been told that each room is different from the other...

Perhaps the best compliment one can give to this spa hotel is that it conveys not just comfort but a compelling concept as well. That concept can be summarized in 'healthy living'. When you hear about Mitzpe Hayamim's extraordinary history you realize that here you're in a 'one-of-a-kind' place where attention is paid to every detail. The rooms are elegant and comfortable. The food is delicious. The views and the walks are memorable. Here - more than anywhere else in Israel - you can unwind to the full and simply bathe in the beauty and serenity of the place. When it's time to go back home, you leave this wonderful hotel and environment with regret. No wonder there's so much loyalty among returning guests. Mitzpe Hayamim is top of my list - and I've known it since the hotel's 'duck pool' was a swimming pool for people. When you get there, you'll understand what I mean...

Room Tip: Be aware that there are rooms in the main hotel building and also rooms /suites in outlying building...

Quite simply, we think Mitzpe Hayamim is heaven on earth. We have stayed here three times and each time, we never want to leave. It is incredibly peaceful and the food is amazing. There are so many thoughtful touches and there is so much to do (swimming, walking, seeing the animals ...).

We just came back from spending the Passover holiday in the beautiful scenary of this lovely spa hotel. The food is freshly grown and prepared in the adjacent farm, fresh herbs and leaves are available for the guests in the lobby all day long and the guests hover in bathrobes between swimming, walking the premises, returning from a massage, always just before or after sipping tea. The view is one of the nicest in Israel and the service in the slightly remote presidential suite was fast and agreable. Highly recommended for all.
